Pol-1160 / Pol-0011

Having the same issue, other people broadcasting about it on GW. There is a thread on the FFXI forum on SE's page too but I can't even access that. I had the issue in the North of the country yesterday and then the South in the evening, with O2 in both locations. I just hope it gets fixed.

From what I've read it seems to be an EU issue. Don't quote me though

I'm getting this issue too. Can't get on to the SE account management site either. I'm with O2. Does this mean I need to contact O2 to fix this or will it fix itself?

it started for me today and i cant log in anymore. i managed to get online after a million retrys, but just to get booted after some minutes online.
i noticed that the official forums are down, maybe it has to do something with people not being able to log in?

Same problem here,got kicked 15 min ago,play online ain't working and SE account management won't work either. JOY...

Same here been having problems all night/this week with random error 3001/4001 d/c's, now I can't get past the login screen into POL.

Ran a POL/XI file check, everything comes up fine, flushed cache, reset modem, checked ports, all clean, still can't login.

Videotron ISP, guessing this is SE though.

im with videotron too i was kick out the game 1hr ago and i cant log on pol since that. i did some troubleshooting (reset router and try direct connection i still get pol 0006 error) i get same issue on my ps3 and 2 other pc.

I'm also with Videotron. My Internet access is working fine. Problem started yesterday, got randomly kicked for no reason. This morning I can't log at all. From my experience : don't call SE they will claim that your ISP is the problem while its obviously not the case.

If I may add : I can't access the SE Forums and I can't access the SE Account page.

XBOX LIVE work perfectly, can't log at all on POL. Also can't acces to oficial FFXI forum. Oficial FFXI website dont give a ***like usual...

5 hours later... still impossible to log on POL (and FFXI)... Still impossible to check official FFXI forum in case something wrong, or any update... Impossible to join SE support website to contact somone about WRF is going on...

I dont know what wrong today but the lack of info seriously suck...

Started having these problems today. tried the solution on first page, but no go.

I'm with videotron too and it happened a few other times before, but really that's way too often
From what i've seen so far, there's nothing to do to fix it. It 'magically' fixes itself, and SE won't say a word about this problem at all.
I'll just try to be patient and not abuse the Retry button too much

Problem is with teh ISP

With Videotron I cannot access anything from square-enix that is not from http://www.square-enix.com


FFXIV isnt working either, buth game and website.

I switched to my 3G connection and everything works now.

Also did a traceroute and it times out once it enters japan.

Same issues as above>> havent been able to log in for hours after i got disconnected...

Fellow Videotron user here, I too was kicked out at 10:23 this morning.
After numerous troubleshooting steps including resetting the modem, flushing DNS and in final frustration connecting the modem directly to the PC to eliminate the router...

I have made 4 calls to Playonline and 3 to Videotron of course it is the typical pass the buck...its Videotron...it's Playonline I have quoted and ensured that Playonline was aware of this thread.

And lodge a complaint...my feeling is that if we complain and then ask for a one day refund although it won't hurt the SE coffers, the sheer pain in the @## paperwork involved to issue each person a refund will prompt Playonline to actually investigate the issue.

Of course they will say you can log into the Square forums to which you can reply...Id love to but those are down for us as well. If you can connect to your online Gmail that means port 443 is working, if you can access web pages (which if your reading this you can) port 80 is working. As for the Dynamic ports 50000-65534 I talked to second level Videotron internet support and they verified that no Network shaping or closed ports were implemented today.

Again I believe that if people at least call to complain and if you want take it one step further ask for a refund for the unavailable time....who ever has to go thru the pain of filling out that paperwork will ensure the correct resources from Playonline and Videotron resolve this.

As this is happening to me as well (from Norway, so not using Videotron), I think we can safely assume the entire problem rests on Square Enix' side.

Btw Captnmorgan, which ISP are you using?

I see. I get broadband through canaldigital myself, so I assume there is no connection to the ISP then.. It's all on SE. :/

If it was SE no one could connect. How come it's not working only for a few ISPs? I'm in game right now using Roger's 3G network.

Also it's not only FFXI, it also impact FFXIV, lodestone, members.square-enix.com etc.

Yea, its strange... i cant access SE-account, pol website either. I've had this happen to me before too, a year or two back. That time i couldnt log on for a day or two, lol...

First off props to Captainmorgan for the other post and also to Zarv for the 3G idea. I first took Zarv's idea and turned on the hotspot feature on my Iphone for those that don't know this basically allows you to use your Iphone as an Internet provider and bang I am able to log in.

This means its a Videotron problem and they lied to me.... Yes I am pis@@#@ I then used Captainmorgans post and followed the tracert idea. For those that want to know or call and yell at Videotron (if on WindowsXP)

1.) hit start button

2.) In the run box type cmd

3.) At the dos prompt type this command:

C:\>tracert forum.square-enix.com

the response I get is:

Tracing route to forum.square-enix.com [202.67.50.142]
over a maximum of 30 hops:

What this means is to reach forum.square-enix.com from your PC you have to go thru 30 different Internet routers to reach forum.square-enix.com

After I type this command (C:\>tracert forum.square-enix.com) here is what I get:

As you can see it times out after router 6 (depending on where you are it could time out differently) so now you have the information and a way to reproduce it to your ISP so they can't pass the buck. I encourage anyone having this issue to call their ISP and apply some pressure to have this resolved.

For my fellow Videotron users :

Videotron = 1-877-512-0903 and the incident # is BR-9047077 just in case you get a tech who says Videotron is not aware...there is the proof they are aware.

In case your wondering trying to get my Aegis and was in Dynamis in the middle of a currency run...so yeah Im pis##@# lol hope the above helps.

Well, i can access the FFXI website now. Still unable to log into the game tho.

I am with Telus, and having the same issue.

Same problem.. Haven't been able to log on for the past 7-8 hours. Norway, CanalDigital (Bergen.. >:) SE *** things up again.
