Pluto's staff would obviously do better on the elemental weapon skill than M.kris. ultimate/cosmos/sea daughter is awesome for ws spam. I would use that same setup and rolls for leaden salute if I didn't have armageddon.
I am clueless as to what some of the other people here are suggesting. The only reason you would TP in melee gear is if you are using slug shot or detonator which shouldn't even be considered in abyssea. Otherwise get some store tp gear, use tactician's roll and weapon skill every 15 seconds. It's like people are mixing melee gear with elemental weapon skills....?
For as quick as COR can TP... I'd use cosmos/ultimate/HG and see if the damage difference makes up for the extra times it takes to get TP when not using sea daughter. Always /RDM and use wizard's roll if you are using an elemental ws. /nin, /sam, and whatever else some people use is worthless

Because some NM resists or even absorbs magic dmg, so Wildfire won't do so well on those mobs. In that case Evisceration with RR/VV(or GH)/Apoc(or alpha omega) will be your best DD WS since it can always hits 1k~2.5k easily even on toughest NMs, plus all the melee DoT(which is usually 150~270 on NQ mobs) from crit-hit attack. I know some ppl complained about not liking to play the job like a THF or DNC, but if it's an effective way to play it, why not? Not to mention if you /DNC, you got extra benefit from meleeing such as stun and haste samba.
I'm not a big fan of melee+elemental WS dmg though.
Another reason is because not everyone have Wildfire, and not everyone is willing to invest the time to get an empyrean WS. I doubt Armageddon takes less time to finish than Mayhem+2, since you'd have to camp NMs(some NM takes 10hr to pop sometimes)+ gather ppl and spend the time to help them get their gears.

Forgot about what I just said here, some friend told me how good Sanguine Scythe atma is after recent update so I decided to give RR/SS/A&O combination a try on EXP mobs, and the dmg was much higher than RR/VV/A&O combination. Average is easily 2.6~2.9k, sometimes it even goes higher than 3~4k.
Unless that enmity+ from SS is a big problem(it's usually not if you're EXPing), SS is certainly a good atma to use if you go melee.

I'm looking to get back into COR after spending the last few months almost totally on BLU for yellow procs and I've found the comments posted here really useful. Screw RR, VV, or AoA, you want Ultimate, Sea Daughter, and Sundering slash with Pluto's (leaden) or Vulcan's (wildfire).
Oh i have a question, is cor body +2 better than loki's for ranged?

I would say NO. But thats only because I like as much Store TP in my sets as i can to augment the regain. Since its always a variable number, you dont need to aim for a specific X-hit.
However, you should swap it in for triple shot.

Then do Evi(with right atma) if you have it unlocked, if not then do slug(hard to buff it's dmg with atmas, so w/e) I guess......
But if you don't WS then you probably don't have much else to do in Abyssea XD
i mostly help keep the tanks from dying =/
