Anyone tried to swing this yet? Brew lasts 3 minutes, repop on ??? is 1 minute, gives you 2 minutes (Give or take 10 seconds) to murder two of the same NM. Obviously this wouldn't work for a high tier NM like Rani, but for some of the Emperyean NM drops, this seems feasible.

this is what my friends and I do. we go to a zone, pop a bunch of different nms, pull to some location and someone brews it all down :D its awesome, but sometimes you get crappy drops =/

Use magian goggles talk to book, timer for brew won't go down since you're talking to npc

If you have the right jobs/gear it should still work on ones like rani assuming you had the pops and you don't care about proccing really

Wouldn't waste it on empyrean mobs. Unless you mean the ones for the lvl 90 upgrade and got 30+ brews waiting.

seen people do it, seems stupid to me, no proc blue or red or yellow, + the 5-10mins dragging them to 1 location and then wasting a brew. Honestly, you could kill 2-3 NM in that same time, maybe few mins more of course but its worth the proc+TH.

For most NMs I agree, but if it's something like Glavoid or another T1 empy weapon NM then you don't need blue/red/yellow. TH can easily be applied while the brewer is killing the NMs.

Unless you're 48-49/50 shells and just don't want to wait, why would you ever brew Glavoid?

or if the brewer is a thf with lots of TH gear then applying a high level of TH is easier

People generally proc the appropriate weakness before taking something down with the brewer.

That's actually a pretty good idea.

Since we're talking Glavoid, I'll clarify with it.

Pop Glavoid -> Brew -> Murder -> Wait 1 minute -> Pop Glavoid -> Murder.

The glasses idea is brilliant by the way.

Actually doing that I don't see why could couldn't do alot more than that. Just get a job that can one shot ***or damn near do it with brew. Assuming you could get all the pops before timed out could probably get all of a stage of an empyrean weapon done lol

Well not forever. Your abyssea time is still going down so would have to farm time first if you tried to do alot. Would be funny to stay there like that while people farmed more pops though. Finish as many as you need on 1 brew

I don't know that Glavoid can be taken down in significantly under a minute though, capping you out at around 3.

In meh gear and atmas I took one out with 4 ws on blu. So maybe 30 sec at most. Now on rng I might be able to 1 shot it. 2 at most. I've done 61k to shinryu and have improved my gear and atmas since then and had 0 support. So I figure would take 6-15 sec each

if you have 3million cruor, you do it for Ss&Gs. But if you can do 5 glavoids with 1 brew, that makes all the better.

You can also farm up a ton of Glavoid pops and finish a tier I Emp in a day. 25-30 sets seems like a lot, but if you've got a whole group working on it, you can finish it off pretty quickly.

Really, what else are you going to use brews on? It's overkill if it's not Shin/Raja/Rani usually.

yeah brewing Glavoid is just dumb... I've killed the thing a ton of times with only 5 players in 6 to 10 minutes each. Why would you waste your cruor brewing something so easy? >.>

I'd put Raja a step below Bukhis, personally. I'd still brew both, anything that takes more than 10 minutes to kill is a waste of time to kill the normal way.

Killing 5 Glavoids, at 10 minutes each (Removing ??? respawn and whatever healing preparations.), that'd take 50 minutes, whereas brewing 5 with 1 brew would take around 10 minutes. If you're blitzing it for fastest and most effective time/effort ratio, you save an entire alliance 40 minutes by investing 2 hours in a cruor farming PT yourself.

This really is rocking my brain... AND you could still stagger this way - pop, stagger, close the book, kill, book.... motherofgod.jpg

Forgetting the fact TH takes time to proc and if your not proccing TH on those NMs (least in Tah/LaTh/Kons), you'll probably be farming more sets anyway in that time.
