KS99 The Hills Are Alive

I did a bunch of runs to get my egg with the following setup works wonders;

BLM x4 (the more the faster you kill)
WHM x1 (don't really need another)
MNK x1
SAM x1

Sam and Mnk do skillchain of darkness

Asuran Fists + Tachi Gekko

and BLM's just do magic burst on it! easy win.

Very easy solo for SCH/RDM. I used some meds for safety/speed up the fight, but I'm sure this could easily be done without them.

I think it solo-able on a lot of jobs at 99 now.

Really? I tried a few and couldn't get it past 90% on any of the jobs I used. I could see BLM, BLU, and maybe RDM being able to do it, but that's about it.

Blm blue rdm were the ones I were thinking that could solo it. Some one said they solo'd it on smn.. but idk..

Even tho you solod it, the last few minutes show how it can still be an *** at 99. Get low on MP when it's in shell = uhoh

So four jobs (possibly) makes it solo-able by a "lot" of jobs at 99? Stop being such a killjoy.

Just don't underestimate the regen while he is inside of the shell---yes, even at 99. Any competent solo/duo group will have no problem, sure.

When I was trying to finish off my BB several months ago though, the simple mistakes made in what one would expect of a shout group (people not paying attention/not nuking it out of the shell/just being flat out stupid in general...can still make you fail this fight), and it is because of this that the egg is still one of the most obnoxious items to get. Again, like I said--with a competent duo you will be fine, but just don't underestimate this thing and throw away 99 of your KS's, please.
