Should I leave Bismarck and join Asura to get things done?
I then decided to just.... get things done and poof... things happened... gear was obtained... luas were made... friendships were forged... Clears were cleared

You need the perfect storm of things to make that happen though. it's mostly luck. Say you want some random item, it's too hard to solo and trust just won't make it. It could be impossible to get if no one else has any interest in doing it as well. Even if you help someone get something for future help with yours, a lot of the time they just screw you.
Not to say the same thing won't happen anywhere, just a higher chance of people with same objectives when theres more bodies.
It'd be fantastic if 5 reasonably talented people always wanted something you need help with, but reality doesn't work that way.

I've been on Asura for 2 weeks now and I think it's pretty fun, there's such a wide variety of players here with all the new/returning people coming to the server. The /yells are just a bonus

Can confirm, this is an actual thing here. People want REMA DD's for E/VE ambuscade, what did they mean by this?

What it's like after you join an Asuran pick up group for Omen and do a Boss run, and everyone starts pointing fingers while saying snarky comments aimed at members then rage quitting.
After 30 minutes of shouting, the most essential, most badass person on the server finally joins, offers nothing except a time limit, then the Pickup group wipes:
"OK, HERE IS WHAT YOU DID WRONG! I've done this over 9000 times! YOU GUYS DON'T KNOW HOW GOOD I AM AT THIS GAME!? WHY DON'T YOU GUYS KNOW HOW GOOD I AM? GOD DAMNIT LISTEN TO ME!!!!!!

Not hard to use ffxiah.com change the server to see shouts going per server.
Asura players all have big dongs and drive Bugatti's. No other server can compare.
