Wait, since when has Benjamin Netanyahu influenced US politics?
Last I saw, Netanyahu was Obama's Foreign Enemy #1, even worse than Putin and Un, and he was basically silent (Netanyahu) during the '16 election.
Or are you going to say the Israeli's hacked the election?
/wonders what channel Blazed's hat is receiving
I'm not sure if you're really that unaware or trying to troll?
Its just ridiculous at this point in time to not be aware of Israel's influence on American politics... Yes, because that's always the most important thing on every American voter's mind, how the relationship with Israel is going.
I would love to see a statistic that shows that this election was determined by who supported Israel the most.

I prefer to complain about things that are actually wasting taxpayer money, like the cost of Trump spending his weekends in Mar-a-Lago, or keeping Melania and Barron comfortable in Trump Tower. Or his spending his time in Hawaii, or his 300+ golf trips, or the 20 personal attendants the First Lady requires on staff.
You know, you're allowed to criticize them both. Oh, I do.

Um....should I break it to you gently, or do you want it harsh?
Maybe, I don't know, read the article again? Which part should he read? the part about how American politicians who vote against Israel's interests risk their poliical careers as elected officials in their own country?
Maybe you should actually read it.

Maybe you should actually read it. How about the part that states that this, or any election, is determined by Israeli relations? Or about the part that states that the Israel-American relationship is the most important, or even a significant, issue on US voters minds.
Oh wait, neither subject was mentioned because it doesn't exist.
I hate to break it to you and the other two tinfoilers, but this election wasn't decided on Israel, nor did Israel "influence" the decisions made by US voters. Nobody went to the polls and said "Gee, this candidate hates/loves Israel, so I'm going to vote for him/it."
Also, you guys really need to learn what a lobby does. Of course a lobby that wants to strengthen relationships with Israel and America is going to lobby for that......

I can list the ones I spot:
1) Appeal to the stone
2)Argument from incredulity
3)Argument from repetition
4)Argument from silence
5)Shifting the burden of proof
6)Circular reasoning

Nobody - I think I can say for certain I will get lost trying to reason with you and understand your thinking, or try to look into how much you know or pretend to know - so I'm just going to ask you a straight question and I want you to give me a straight answer and stop running away;
Are you saying that Israel has no impact on US politics?
Are you saying that Israel does not influence American politics moreso than any other nation on earth?
Just answer the questions.

Only cause's they agree with are allowed to attempt to influence government officials. If the "cause" isn't politically correct and part of Right Think then it needs to be illegal and it's perpetrators hunted down immediately to be re-educated.

Top issues regarding voters in electing Presidents: 2016 edition
Israel is not on the list. So, yes, your arguments are absurd.
2)Argument from incredulity Actually, this applies to you a whole lot more than it does to me. You are an outsider looking into American Elections. Why should anyone take your argument over somebody who, oh I don't know, participated in such elections?
Again, applies to you. As shown as the evidence provided in #1.
Wait, you are making the conclusions that Israel influenced the elections. Neither you, nor anyone else, has stated that it's true. All that was brought up is an article about a lobbying group who's sole job is to lobby. You still haven't proven that Israel-American relations were a top, or even an issue, in this election.
And I proved it otherwise.
5)Shifting the burden of proof Yeah, because you haven't proven anything. Try doing that for once.
Now you are just flailing.

*cough*Sheldon Adelson*cough* Nobody will say "oh but he's a private individual. He's free to donate how he pleases. That's part of the American political process".
Imagine if one of of Putin's friends had donated 10 million Trump, Hilary or Sanders.

Are you saying that Israel has no impact on US politics? Not as big of an impact as you assume.
The only impact Israel has on US politics involve Middle East Diplomacy, as they are the only democratic society in the Middle East.
Israel has no effect on domestic affairs, which is the majority of US politics. You honestly think a country of narcissists care about what's going on with the rest of the world?
Are you saying that Israel does not influence American politics moreso than any other nation on earth? Apparently not, since Russia is on everyone's minds currently, and during the election. Nobody would shut up about Russia and Putin.
Israel doesn't even break the top 10.

Quote: Hasbara is a form of propaganda aimed at an international audience, primarily, but not exclusively, in western countries. It is meant to influence the conversation in a way that positively portrays Israeli political moves and policies, including actions undertaken by Israel in the past.Nov 13, 2011

I think its ironic that an American is defending Israel against any information that is presented to him, to perpetuate his view that Israel doesn't influence his country or its Politics.
