FFXI Free Server Help And Information Is Needed.

For the free FFXI free servers that have the old 75 era content do I need to delete the real game off my laptop and install their package exclusively? Or am I able to save download time from having the information from previous expansions and such already downloaded onto my laptop? I'm having a bit of difficulty with this...and I guess also with just life in general to be asking this, but anyhow...lol..

it varies based on the private server you are going to, most of them will require you to have the up to date client anyways

Hey! Thanks for any sort of replies! The server I was researching was "Nasomi". I'm thinking maybe i just delete the Playonline from square enix and can maybe keep the expansions? I'm also thinking i may just have to delete it all. I'm also thinking i'm not the best thinker. Happy Thanksgiving!

you just need to create a different profile
ashita and windower have sandbox support : you can play on retail and private servers simultaneously

no because a lot of things are in windows registry
and there are a lot of .dll which are registered too
(playing in a virtual computer is still an option but requiere a bit of work)

small tip : don't ask for support on ashita or windower forums, private servers have their own forums for this
if your server doesn't have a forum, you can check others forums because configuration is the same (only ip address/dns names of servers are differents)
