If you play this game enough to where you "need" Wardrobe 3 and 4 after 14 years of such a thing not existing, I think you like the game enough to pony up an extra couple of dollars a month.

Im 100% OK with Cosmetics. I truly am.
But when it's something that actually impacts game-play. Not so much.

Not interested but if people feel they need to pay a small fee for extra gear storage, whatever.

As long as the inevitable longer load times only affects people who utilise a third or fourth wardrobe then I really don't care.

Actually it does affect player performance. Some people have to use subpar or universal gears that could be used on other jobs just to save inventory. With wardrobe 3 and 4 there are more inv to carry more optimized sets.

Kinda silly thing to charge for. Things that cost money should not effect game play in any way. Since wardrobes can be equipped like inventory, it effects game play.

If SE was looking for more cash flow, they should open up paid name change, race change, sex change, etc, and/or did something similar to wow's game token thing, where you can buy a game time token for real money and sell it on the auction house for gil.

I have multiple people in my LS who can play jobs that utilize practically 0 overlapping gear to near-optimum abilities(Like say Ruaumoko who can jump between DRG, RUN, WHM and GEO). To do this they have to jump into the mog house and swap all their gear around, sure. But I bet you he's able to rival almost any single jobber in effectiveness in those jobs.

This is a quality of life fee, you can work around it fully well if you really don't want to pay $2/month for the most cost effective entertainment in the first world, but it is by no means going to be the difference between someone getting a clear for an aeonic and never being able to do so.

Realistically. Someone using Mog Wadrobe 3/4 has 340 slots of armor to change for 1 job (just from wardrobe) . as someone who uses 180 just for WHM...

It very much effects gameplay for some.

I'd love to know how you can utilize another 160 slots for WHM alone. I play THF/RUN/COR for massive overlap in gear, on my THF I can have all my gear in just the two wardrobes, and I min/max to the point of having a FC set on THF (it's at 47%, not using prolix/enchanter+1 yet, but have sets of herc/taeon for it). Pretty much the only extra thing I could add on my THF is a Mercy Stroke set, which would only be a couple new items, not 160.

I don't think there's any chance you can actually upgrade your WHM in any meaningful way with another 160 inventory.

I think a paid for renaming service would be a solid addition, added to that, free up names of long inactive players, there's some really solid ones out there that go to waste because whoever took it quit 7 years ago or whatever.

SE is giving themselves financial incentive to not add items to storage slips, add even more single-purpose situational gear (inb4 ilvl elemental staves), and to not address underlying flaws in both their game design and its technical implementations.

Think about that for a moment. A question of, "Should we add this new armor set to a Storage Slip" will now consider the fact that they have a benefit from not doing so.

Rather than fix their damn packet system, or design better gear, they're going to charge an absurd fee (30% of the base monthly cost) for what, 6560 bytes of storage?

No. This is outrageous.

Then this is purely a qualify of life situation, not something that alters gameplay. Which is well within the acceptable realm of pay to play.
