that vid treads a delicate balance of unsettling, cringe, and feeling sorry for the kid since you know it was probably his parents' idea

Kinda glad I have a Gyarados at 97.8% IV with Dragon Breath and Hydro Pump. Feels like a rare shiny Charizard card.
Lucky. I got a 91.1 with bite/twister. ._>
Cant tell you how pissed I was to get the worst moveset after 400 candies. Quetzalcoatl.Kainstryder

Yeah mine was off a Magikarp, too. I mean, I think anyone's guaranteed a near or perfect Gyarados if you evolve a Magikarp. Getting terrible moveset though... hopefully they add a move tutor or something later on.
Has anyone gotten a perfect IV Pokemon? I've never seen one. Saw that 0% Electabuzz, pretty hot. I saw a 100% Vaporeon, but that was it.

I have a 100% Vaporeon, very proud of it :D In other news, it seems that today's client update has a "kind of" IV calculator... but for what I have read, it won't provide you a number and of course you need to go one by one on each of your Pokémon. Still better than nothing but... why does Niantic have to always do it wrong when they can do it right? hehe. Lakshmi.Buukki

Got me a 95.6% Gyrados with the dragon rage/hydro pump moveset. Loving it. Now if only it were 100%... using pokeassistant + Silph road in conjunction usually gives accurate IVs. Harder obviously for lower levels, but still do-able.
Agh, need to get out and play some more.

Was in town today sitting in the park watching the kids play and like 20 college kids all rolled in with their phones out, heads down fast walking to the huge statue in the back. Was pretty funny.
Why can't I get the new update? ;;

I may do it in celebration after I evolve a ***tonne of pokemon with a lucky egg active. I have vanilla Android Marshmallow and I don't have it yet even though having vanilla Android makes me better than those with lesser phones.
edit: God damn you Anna. I actually had to go and make this since there are none on google :( Anna Ruthven said: » I have vanilla Android Marshmallow and I don't have it yet even though having vanilla Android makes me better than those with lesser phones. I love the bottom of the notes:

Heh, yeah shouldn't have tossed it, but from my experiences, Dratini and Dragonair in the wild usually have 80%+ IV like, really often. Not compared to say, Caterpie which if it's above 40% it's a Christmas miracle, so don't lose too much sleep over it if you're regretting. On a side note, anyone in NYC near Central Park, the pier museum southwest of it, on the water docks is SWARMING with Dratini now after the update. Like, 4-5 up at most I saw. Good time to stock up on candies; also managed a 97.8 Dragonair. Need to pray for a good move set now. They all had varying IVs, lowest I had was around 5%, highest is my 95.6%. And no, the high IVs weren't that often; you got very lucky. Quetzalcoatl.Kainstryder

Shot in the dark then, but I feel like certain Pokemon have a higher chance at good IVs than some. Farming Caterpie/Weedle/Pidgey for evolving exp fun, they're ALL below 40% or so and this is like...30+ of each. If only my Snorlaxes had my Dratini luck with IVs. I can not get a good move set Snorlax with 80+ and I've only had two 10km eggs ever. Really dumb you can't toss eggs. I have 9 5km all day every day. All I get is 5s.
I get a wide range of all pokemon IVs, caterpies to lapras. I've not noticed any varying degree of preference to one end of the spectrum to the other for types of pokemon.
The only exception to this is hatched pokemon. I've yet get one under 80%. |
