Important BLU Spells

Wow from reading this Blu seems like a quest all in itself. This is going to be "fun" taking this job to 99 and making it respectable lol.

BLU isn't something one can just level, gear, and then play. It takes extra work.

I think it's worth it, though.

Yeah I'm mainly goihg to get it to use for BR2 spam for alexs but it seems like a really fun job.

Blu is an incredible job, but yes it takes more work than most to be effective. If you are only in (initially at least) for BRII spam then it wont be that bad because you will only need to focus on 1 situation, solo with only self buffs, which takes away so many situational setups that main blus need to be prepared for so dont be discouraged, at least not until you decide to main it lol.

Can blue Mage burn all the way to 99 then start collecting spells? Or will some spell won't be learn at end game level?

You can burn and then learn. Nothing prevents that (and with higher skill + AF gloves, it's easier to learn).

The higher your blue magic skill, the better your chances of learning are.

I burned to 99 and capped skill using Foot Kick and Sprout Smack, as I think I had maybe five other spells at that point.

I then started hunting (and am still not finished).

The only problem I foresee is getting spells off mobs that are pretty weak, but usually higher level counterparts can teach them as well.

I will never, ever set Sprout Smack or Foot Kick again.

Plus, you can burn the books to force your Blue Magic Skill up, which will make learning lower level spells you need easier.
