Looking For A New Server

Anyone have an opinion on a more active server? Still really enjoy playing the game, but Quetz is so low on the pop lately.

Half of Quetz has gone to Asura over the last 3 months. (404 people on quetz right now lol)

Asura and Odin seem to be the only real options anymore. Maybe Fenrir/Bahamut?

Might be mistaken on the last 2, but all the rest have minimal pops.

Ignore Lakshmi also. This place is the first server to be bombed to midgar ruins the moment November hits.

I played in few servers and i liked odin in the end. at least the economy seemed stable during all my time there. Shout wise seemed okish, always the daily shouters though some are gone (rip invincable, blazeoffury, skjalf, etc) but i can see some repeated faces in ffxiah shouts. Lswise, its more related to luck than server.

So, i would advocate odin.

Asura is the worse imo. Just think there is the home of chyula, kingnobody, fatenn, matrrdark, etc, aside lots of mercs ls looking at your pocket and lots of rmts.

Hmm...let's see...Bahamut, Odin, Phoenix and Shiva are great servers, but I'd stay away from Carbuncle and Asura.

What are the qualifications for a great server?

I really like bahamut. Came over here several months ago. Joined two "everyone is welcome" linkshells and they are pretty good. Most people I played with has been friendly. And pretty good players. It seems this server might have the most 4 song bard. Every other bard I play with seems to have a daurabla 99. And most shouts I shouted has filled. Skirmish, cap point parties. Etc.

Come to Bahamut, we have cookies. Somewhere. And a bunch of really nice people (and a few douches, but that's just how it goes).

Quetz is and has been terrible since it was merged with Midgard. Do not come here or even think about coming to this ***hole.

The best players have long since quit/banned/moved onto better places.

None. This is just from my personal experiences on all those servers, the population, etc, which those 4 are the best. So all IMO. ;)

I never got cookies when I got there a couple years ago ;-; just milk and awesome friends lol. And yeah, few (lot) of douches on Bahamut but it's a great server.

Those 4, from my personal experiences being ON all of them, I know those would be the best servers the OP should look into. But again, this is based on my opinion and personal experiences on them. ;)

fenrir has a bit over 1k ppl on the weekend, but usually youre lucky to do a sea all for 500. dont even bother trying to shout for anything during the day cuz its not happening. the new vagary is fun (with my ls), but no one runs htb's, so it makes empy upgrades quite hard to do. i've still never been to dm2 and i came back like 6 months ago.

Confirming everyone from Quetz moved to Asura. The SA linkshell was on Quetz originally but they all moved, but I had stayed since I still had a bunch of friends on Quetz. And then over the past few weeks they all moved to Asura so welp.

Shiva is the saddest place to be, 618 people online as of right now, half of them are bazaar, 1/4th are mules, and the rest is afk, you'll be lucky if you find a new shout once every 2hrs.

The reason i am even posting on this thread is because if you do just a lil bit of research, you could easily find a good home. I'll even do the research for ya for my server.

If you play during EU time which i believe might be btwn 3-6pm est, there is a ls called Majestic led by Nemezar. They do daily random events, nothing mandatory.

If you play between 7-10pm est, there is a ls called Zerogil that does daily random events, nothing mandatory.

If you play between 8-11pm est, i lead an ls called Whirlingwindls. We have a set schedule monday thru friday of 18 man content and provide merc services. Our events are mandatory if you are online cuz we do monthly payouts based on attendance. My ls is not for everyone, but at least we dont worry about what we going to do every night.

Everyone should just make a huge server-wide jump to Asura and make one big "super-server".
