Returning Player Guide for Final Fantasy 11
More to be posted at later dates:
Node 230 You should include the BG Returning to Vana'diel link too.
![]() Lol, I'm surprised you actually made a thread for new/returning players.
I in the other hand would probably just straight up say "Just quit as of now". you must be bored to have quit the game and still make a new player guide!
I'm convinced no one on the forums actually plays XI...

Should probably include Records of Eminence in there somewhere. Survival Guides might also be worth mentioning, I almost feel like there's so many ways to travel around now that a new/returning player would need a guide to keep track of them.
I personally think starting a brand new character is worthwhile, the tedious aspects of the early parts of the game are largely resolved with easier travel, trusts, RoE, and lots of the other QoL updates. Even as a veteran, I bet if you made a brand new mule right now and played it, you'd probably have more fun that you expected. Honestly, most if not all of the information int he OP is more relevant to a returning player than a new player. All of the QoL changes posted are assuming people already know what those things are. If they are a completely new player, they won't know ***about what the OP is talking about until they get leveled up and situated into the game a bit. A "New Players Guide" would also need to explain how all these things work and what they are. Also, OP talks about "if they remember this" multiple times. How would a new remember anything about this game? This flat out is a "Returning Players Guide" (assuming they quit around 75 era or Abyssea era). Not a "New Player's Guide". I know i am not one to talk but why is this needed.
Title, changed as you were all right on that.
I made this because Numerous Threads get made, all with the same information, or some asshat (namely myself at 3 AM) see's someone post something, and in a sleep depraved state posts a Dickish reply. Rather than having 9000000 threads for it, this could literally be an introductory how to get started and where to get some very helpful upgrades along the way! It can also be used to keep accounts from people about their experiences in the game, granted it won't be Server Specific (unless people want to PM me about individual Server but word of mouth is subject to feelings). A Guide that has links to things that never existed i.e SE using a Flow chart with clickable buttons on Content, Nerfs, requirements, and other useful stuff is new. Most returning players or even new players would come here to FFXIAH as the main community for FF11 to search for info, and if they go to make a new post, which will probably be in the general discussion they will see this stickied (assuming Anna's done that). ![]() Sorry if it's out there somewhere but I'm not finding anything.. How exactly are relics upgraded to v3? You need the 200 umbral narrows or whatever it was still? Been out of the game for over a year and a half or so..

Been out of the game for over a year and a half or so.. https://www.bg-wiki.com/bg/Oboro_REM_Upgrade ...this covers all of the Oboro (NPC) operations (from JSE-creation/upgrade to first-/last-stage REM upgrades) but the information is there. Floppy-spicy-taru-style BG wiki bump! :p |
