The update will be taking place on Thursday, February 19.

New things:

Red Mage job point categories revealed.
-Category 1: Saboteur Effect. Increases enfeebling magic accuracy by 2 per point while under the effects of Saboteur.
-Category 2: Enfeebling Magic Duration. Increases debuff duration by 1 per point. (JP description suggests this is 1 second per point)

New Gifts:
-Fire VI confirmed, looks cool.
-Bard getting Threnody II.
-Paladin getting Enlight II.
-Scholar getting Weather II.
-Dancer buff, Finishing Move maximum increase.

Trust: Arciela also confirmed.

Weapon Augment Preview:


New damage +15 augment.

Armor preview:


Enhancing Magic Skill +12
Regen Duration +12

Augs:
Magic Accuracy +14
Magic Attack +14
Double Attack +2
Enhancing Magic Duration +8

The matk/macc are probably one aug. Armor is confirmed to have 3 slots for augments. The old alluvion weapons will also have a third slot.

I just saw the pic of a gear, suposelly from skirmish: 4 slots of augments!

I cant read japanese, but that 14 i can read even in portuguese. Those skirmish gear will be nice.

That +2 is the same jp letters of a cizin augment. Definitively its a melee stat.

I got all the stats for it, just don't know the last one.

I think it's Enhancing Magic duration?

looks like they are using the models of ZNM sets for the new skirmish armors. If that is the case, heavy DDs are so gonna be golden.

Yeah the enhancing magic duration is a really nice aug, and double dips on the Regen too.

Hmmm.

They are likely the summons in the skirmish. According to the video, you enlist the aid of monsters to destroy the nests.

But yeah, hard to tell which is friend or foe.

You're sayin it as if it were a good thing!
In my book the crappier those augments are, the more easily I'm allowed to ignore such lame random augmentations system.

On the other hand the better they are, the more I'll feel compelled to try and get them, furtherly increasing my frustration level over 9000. (and my wallet to red values)

Update date confirmed on official forums as Thursday, February 19.

-Each job will get 7 new gifts.
-Cast times and MP costs of certain elemental magic spells will be adjusted.
-More pet food.
-JSE CAPES: Adding the ability to engrave job-specific capes with arcane glyptics to an existing NPC
-Adding ability to receive up to 36 combat and magic skill books from Records of Eminence NPCs simultaneously.
-Adding Unity accolades in exchange for A.M.A.N copper vouchers
-Adding a menu option to relinquish rights or cast lots on all spoils at once.
-Adding option to enable or disable weapon effects.
-Legion and Campaign Ops can now be entered solo.

Seems like they're adding another way to do the augments. It may require the augmented capes from Incursion though (trade them in and reroll?).

We can't know for sure yet though. That's the exact wording they gave.

The way they worded it makes me think you'll be able to trade a cape to an NPC, pay with some "currency" (bayld?) and have an attempt to see different augments, then accept/keep like it was.
Dunno if it will be possible only with unaugmented capes or with ones already augmented too.
You can unaugment capes, but it would be much more annoying.

One thing is trying to get better augs on a cape you like (where you have the option to keep the previous ones if you don't like the new ones), another thing is being forced to delete your augments before a new attempt.

Either way, it's a positive thing regardless.

Whether they will succeed or not, I think their intent is to offer a semi-viable alternative to Incursion for getting JSE capes.
I don't think they want to completely invalidate Incursion as an event.
I mean, that might happen if they *** up the reward/effort ratio, but I'm pretty confident they're trying to make so the cost/pre-requisites for getting glyptics on the JSE capes through the NPC are set so that Incursion will still provide some form of attractiveness to players, instead of suddenly becoming obsolete.

Regardless, as I said before, as bad and convoluted these requisites and costs may be, it's still "something more" and as such I welcome it with open arms.

Hey,

I was reading that post of yours sechs, it is funny how you proposed it and how they worded it.
to crevox, machina usually runs incursion 133 as long as we have enough ppl. we only go for the MB. at 133 it's 10 coffers, give or take 1 and usually 3-4 HQ. i can assure you the cape rates is much much better over all. i'd go 1 capes for 20 coffers on nq bosses (NQ and HQ coffers included), it's like 3/4 on HQ mb coffer and maybe 1/4 to 1/3 on NQ mb coffers.
try it if you can, you'll no longer need to check on liij-vok. ^^

Edit : of course capes quality doesnt change. but at least you see a lot of them. and lots og gils too. :D

Yes it's been mentioend before.
Megaboss NQ crates have the same cape droprate as the other's bosses HQ crates.
The cape drop rate from Megaboss HQ crates is really high.

Sadly this doesn't make Incursion any less frustrating, if you ask me... Which is why I suggested Crevox to stop farming specific bosses (which is what I was doing myself, before I learned about this drop rate difference)
