Double Synthsis Skill Campaign: Post Your Results.

I went cooking 100-103 in no time, then realized there's no way to get tarutaru rice for the rice balls, since there were 10+ people camping the guild for it. :(

I loathe crafting so much I instead spent my time farming crystals for the lazy bums who would pay for the crystals on the AH... lol

Planning! I bought all the rice/burdock/buffalo meat as soon as the announcement of this day was out. Spammed Dakuwaqa this week to get fins for soup to get from 107-110 also. The most hilarious thing to me was that Cerberus Meat went from a steady 30-40k each, with the salisbury steak selling for 25k to a whopping 100k each for the meat and the steak selling for 11k over night.

Yeah, I got a boatload of dragon meat (for red curry), walnuts (for walnut cookies), burdock and buffalo meat (and Dakuwaqa fins and cerby meat and gabbrath meat), but I for some reason thought that there was unlimited stock in guilds now...

Unfortunately I wasn't able to take advantage of this campaign except the last 2hrs due to work however, I was able to take Bonecraft and Clothcraft from 60-70 so I'm content with those results ^^

This campaign was badass... got goldsmithing from 93 to 104 & smithing 50 to 58 >.< got lazy there.. and leather 50-60 (only to cap silver cassandra's for gs) lol

I had completely forgotten that it was today. By the time I realized it, there was only 1 hour remaining. I put that hour to good use though.

In 1 hour, I went from 0 to 17 Goldsmithing.

I really hope SE makes this a semi-regular event. This was fabulous!

Synergy really didn't feel like it was getting any boost. I spent about a half hour on it and it wasn't any better than usual. Did manage to get Alchemy from 22 to 71 though, using sparks to get weapons to craft with and having certain materials at fixed prices that never run out from the guild was extremely helpful.

Watch everyone horde crystals for the next one and it never come, SE trolling level 3.

Was waiting all day for someone to throw Ra'kaznar Ingots up on the AH so I could level to 105 (I didn't really plan to do this but decided why not), 10 minutes before the campaign ends someone finally puts up 2 stacks...fml.

Hoarding mats and crystals for over 2 months now. Shouldn't have taken a 3 hr nap.

Well, i couldnt use all time available, started at 11am here and stopped at 11pm because i just couldnt take anymore.

With 3 chars, i got from zero to 67 (goldsmith), 60 (cooking) and 61 (alchemy).

While crafting kits were available, it was super fast. One of the mules had shaper shawl, but it didnt really matter, all 3 chars had same performance with or without cape, with or without food, with or without ionis, so, while i was in kit stage, i just ended synthetizing around guild anyway, to buy more kits. Almost everytime, i was capping a kit with 3 stacks plus 5-8 extra kits.

After 50, things started getting slower, so i started to stack ionis and food, but even then, it was slower due to lack of materials, and costs also (making me synth some ingots instead buying the ingots from ah, etc.).

Now i gonna have a huge amount of stuffs to do before restarting crafts. First needing to farm gp to buy craft+ gear and farming the torques (ugh)...

Well, i just can say i really enjoyed today. I, that never even touched crafts before, now added an extra passtime to my playtime, when i get bored of grinding events or gil.

For Alchemy, I recommend Acid Kukris (glue and vitriol at guild for cheap, kukris for about 250 sparks) to 67, and then Holy Maces (holy waters if you have extras or are willing to make some, and maces for about 250 sparks) to 71. If you don't have papers to spend your sparks on, this'll be worthwhile since you can NPC the finished weapons at a profit, despite having to buy the other materials.

Best thing to do for synergy skill is to get the materials for your's or a friends stall, can take that from 0-80 since it's a single element that is fed it's easy.

I am happy got smithing from 100-104 on my mule would of gone higher but no mats ;;

Got Alchemy to 105, GS and Bonecraft to 50 and Clothcraft to 31 before I got tired and went to bed.

While I was sleeping got fishing to 74.

EDIT: And that fluke Debilis Medallion HQ made me a profit despite all the purchasing of materials.

And Fishing 107 to 109.1

Synergy is a disgusting craft. I spent 3 hours getting it from 75 to 80 during this campaign. I kept thinking I should leave it and get 2 other crafts from 60-70.

I was wondering why I was selling crystals at 5k a pop instead of the usual 500 gil each.

I was happy to get my Goldsmithing from 20-57 in a few hours of synths. Unfortunately I was pretty broke prior to the event, so aside from a few other odd synths, I wasnt able to lazy man on craft kits for other stuff. Still couldn't force myself to go fishing, and apparently I flagged the synergy quest prior to its removal, so I didn't get to do any skillups for that either.

Cooking 84 to 92, ran outta mats :(

I stocked up on some Dragon Meat (1 at a time; @20k vs. 300k/stack) and some Hydra meat leading to the event. Poor planning for inventory space and the other materials left me scrambling a little bit, but .5 stack of Hydra and about 3 stacks of Dragon took my cooking from 91-95.

I ran out of time to risk Red Curry 95, so now i feel I should farm White Honey for a level or two to help bridge the gap up to 97 before skilling on Curry again.
