Now's the perfect chance to take it over and spread "Freedom" all over the place. oh wait, there's not enough brown people. The folks at Fergusson should head to France and take over. They're good at putting their hands up. ScaevolaBahamut said: » the french had the best military record of any nation in europe up until world war 2, at which point they realized they were literally running out of french people and said "oh well, nuclear deterrent" Quote: Some of us are actually excited for this change, believe it or not. i am, of course, simply SHOCKED to hear you are happy about the collapse of a left-wing government, but i would like to think that regardless of my personal politics i would root for hollande's government to serve as a counterweight against the various center-right-to-straight-up-neofascist governments populating the EU right now Not here for debate if left/right wing governement is better than the other side, we have a history with the french revolution , that gives voice to the people, and that respects the rule of law and the rights of all. Now the actual main problem is how move this country with its longstanding commitment to workplace dialogue... We does not offer concessions to the politics ... We want have all and offering nothing in return because we are dumb french people T.T Meanwhile , neofacist grow up in the country ... we are the country with the most social benefits and that is a problem now with economy stagnating . "Socialists are happy until they run out of other people's money."
I guess they ran out of other people's money and had to resign. About time they went after this crook.
Christine Lagarde, I.M.F. Chief, Under Investigation in France Hopefully thats the last time the IMF chief is French.
Shiva.Viciousss said: » Hopefully thats the last time the IMF chief is French. Quote: Since 1944, when the I.M.F. was conceived, the fund’s top official has been a European, with the job alternating among Western European nations. Ms. Lagarde took over as managing director of the fund in 2011 after her French predecessor, Dominique Strauss-Kahn, left in disgrace amid charges — later dismissed — that he had sexually assaulted a woman in a New York hotel room. Ms. Lagarde had served as Mr. Sarkozy’s finance minister from 2007 until leaving for the I.M.F. Mr. Tapie, who had been in a long dispute with a state-owned bank, Crédit Lyonnais, walked away from the arbitration in 2008 with an award of more than €400 million. Mr. Tapie had accused the bank in 1993 of bilking him when it oversaw the sale of his stake in Adidas. In 2007, the year before the award, Mr, Tapie, who had been a career Socialist, suddenly backed Mr. Sarkozy’s center-right Union for a Popular Movement party. The amount of the award came as a shock to many, and the investigation that now involves Ms. Lagarde began after critics accused Mr. Sarkozy’s government of having carried out a sham arbitration. Stéphane Richard, Ms. Lagarde’s former chief of staff and currently the chief executive of Orange, the French telecommunications giant, has already been placed under formal investigation on “suspicion of organized fraud.” Since the start of the investigation, prosecutors have discovered that Mr. Tapie and his lawyer had had an undisclosed relationship with the chairman of the arbitration panel, Pierre Estoup, at the time the procedure was held. All three are now under formal investigation for possible fraud. Prosecutors have been trying to understand at what point Ms. Lagarde learned about potential irregularity in the procedure and why she did not act to stop it. Mr. Tapie has always maintained that he was entitled to the money, and has described the investigation as a politically motivated attack by the Socialists on Mr. Sarkozy. Prosecutors in Paris could not immediately be reached for comment. In a statement, the I.M.F. communications director, Gerry Rice, said Ms. Lagarde was “now on her way back to Washington and will, of course, brief the board as soon as possible. Until then, we have no further comment.” Ms. Lagarde’s lawyer did not immediately return a request for comment, but Ms. Lagarde told Agence France-Presse that she had no intention of stepping down from her post at the monetary fund. Just got back from 3 week vacation in Europe and UK.
I used to be pro-france... but my last 6 trips there over the last decade have shown me just how bad socialism can be. The country is a mess. There are no professionals in france. The quality of service has dropped every year. Paris is in shambles. There are pick pockets at every tourist location. But that is nothing new. What is new is the actual would-be-professionals trying to rip you off and asking for extra. No ethics, no professionalism and Paris looks like a giant pigeon took a big nasty wet ***on it. To truly experience the contrast, stay in London for a week, then go to Paris for a week, and then to any location in Germany. France, wtf are you doing?! lol Just some examples: 1. The louvre tour guide openly bashed the museum's management. She spent 50% of the tour making jokes about how broke she is because they pay her close to nothing and that we could expect a better tour when they increased her pay. An american with us on the tour was appalled and went to complain with his wife and company and the management just brushed him off. 2.The Big Bus tour guide asked us to pay 50 Euros and not get a receipt or pay 135 euros and get a receipt. He told us to tell anyone who checked for tickets that we lost them during one of the stops and that he would back up our story... 3.Our hotel "lost" or gave away our rooms even though we showed up exactly at check in time and then threatened us with a blacklisting if we complained. It was only after my brother in law showed his interpol credentials that they started to retreat but that was 3 hours later. 3 hours of waiting in their lobby with really *** nasty stares and looks. when they finally admitted their mistake they sent us to another hotel since the rooms were now occupied with other guests.. I checked my credit card and they charged me for the rooms on the same night. I am now disputing this charge with my credit card company and its going to take at least 6 months to resolve because the hotel is actually claiming I didn't show up and that's part of their policy. 4.The morning breakfast buffet area wasn't being regulated or managed. I saw kids eating RIGHT OUT OF THE BUFFET trays... eating things like Spaghetti and nuttella ... when I complained they asked me what I think they should do about it... 5.Have you been to Disney Land Paris? please please never do. Especially if you've ever been to the ones in California and Florida. How the FAK can you get disney land wrong?! Every single popular ride was out of order due to "technical problems". Some people even got stuck in Big Thunder Mountain for 30-45 minutes. maldini said: » Just got back from 3 week vacation in Europe and UK. Going to try Serbia for a bit and go from there. I'm definitely not sticking around for 2016 for sure, just staying here long enough for one last Christmas with the family. Eventually I'll end up in Russia, but I have to wait a few years for that. I'm not trying to find an excuse for all those sad facts but generally employers know how to make you run out of motivation in France. I know you'll say that we have 5 weeks for holidays etc. However, I went in some other countries and the management mentality is so much different and so much more appealing. That doesn't explains everything but it's part of the problem we have. I'm personally looking forward to get my own business, but yet in France you have to pay taxes before even actually starting it... I won't give up on it though. Anyway if you go to France, I suggest you go to some other cities beside Paris : you can go to Bordeaux, Aix-en-Provence, Montpellier, Annecy, Strasbourg.

France, wtf are you doing?! lol You're so dumb KN, and I'm going to explain why. You're implying socialists go to work. Seriously though, Socialist institutions are a great way to "Enforce" a respectable minimum standard of living, but it's not a dynamic enough system to adjust to changing economic climates. Though it's not like Capitalism is some sacred cow either. That tends to be the fundamental misunderstanding in dealing with things like Marxist theory. Being a Marxist doesn't necessarily mean you're pro-socialist, it just means you're willing to criticize the flaws of capitalism. All these issues seem to be just another example of absolutist mentality taking over, A or B, Yes or No. A holdout attitude of our tribal past no doubt. Stick with the tribe consensus, simply it into it's most easily digested form. Critical thinking need not apply. Do I give world leaders and humanity in general too much credit if I say that we (the collective) are more responsible for the state of the world than a handful of suits? I'm assuming these people are smart enough to not think in absolutes, but for every divergent opinion you add into the conversation you take that much longer to get your point across. Extrapolate that to a message you need to communicate to 320 Million people and.... yeah. I was agreeing with you while being a snarky ***, sorry if that didn't translate correctly.
I've always said that Socialism is an economy of stagnation. But there's key societal pillars I think should be up for collective support. Defense, Education and Health. Yeah, nobody's going to debate the system is collapsing into its own anus. At times like this I wish I was Charles Xavier so I could tune into the kind of thoughts some of the people responsible have. Also, I understand quite a bit more why the Anti-EU "Fascists" are gaining some traction in Europe. When I saw that news my reaction was "it took them long enough".
Nothing special really, it happens pretty often but the funny and actual bad part is that there are two guys who aren't moving, and they're the one that we need to remove: the president and the prime minister. The other guys are mere puppets, you could put any citizen and have the same ***done. So basically, whatever happens now is merely an act. I'm hoping for Marine to win in 2017, she's our only hope. |
