It would be more honest to take Germany and compare it to Europe than it is to compare it to America...
I agree with you there.

But the whole GDP growth isn't an accurate measurement, imo.

Economies can't grow forever. See my previous post on just making sure people are working and being able to pay for the things they want and need, etc.
I agree, GDP is a good measurement of economic strength, but it isn't the only one out there, nor it is the only one economists use.

I use GDP as a measurement of growth mainly.

I guess either you are trolling (highly likely) or you are a byproduct of the American education system and are trying to prove how failed the system really is...

You don't multiply portions of the same whole, you add them. If they were different wholes it would be a different story. How are you not embarrassed to act so pompous and rude and be dead wrong?

So, you are saying that 97% of 63% of 28% is 188%, which is a statistical impossibility.....

Let me ask you this: What is 1/2 of 1/4?

A) 1/8
B) 3/4

97% is the sum of the other values. Find something else to fixate on.

No, the percentages are tiers of the number of studies analysed in that "study" that tried to determine if scientists agreed that global warming is man made.

97% of the studies that attributed man as the cause of global warming and global warming existed.
63% of the studies that concurred that global warming existed.
28% of all studies that pertained to global warming.

Keep flailing though. Not my fault you don't know basic math. I'm sure you are going to continue to state that global warming is a 100% certainty and caused by man...

Yeah, but elected officials have their own versions of math. For example, in the Oval Office, 50 x 1 = 57.

Let's all take a moment to relax and check out Bernie Sander's hair.

Perhaps global warming debates should take place in a global warming thread. (Not necessarily the old thread from a year ago that got bumped.)

Happens in Canada like every year.

Last year we had snow drifts that covered entire buses if they waited more than 5 minutes at a single stop >.> (no joke either, then we had that big *** flood right before the Calgary Stampede a few years ago because of it... and excess melting of snow from the Rocky Mountains that same summer)

Hmm, it wouldn't necessarily only be about the anthropomorphic side of things, but it's not like we follow the topics exactly anyway.

It also interferes with my utopian view of having all thread titles chosen by Fonewear.

Holy crap, I can't believe this is even a thing....

Your text to link here...

You're trying to take multiple different statistics and combine them. 66% of published papers on climate expressed no opinion on AGW, it wasn't that they didn't endorse it, they weren't studies on AGW. Of the studies that gave an opinion on AGW, 97% endorsed the current model. The 97% is not part of the 66%, so you don't multiply them, they are different metrics. 33.6% of papers on climate change gave an opinion on AGW, of that 33.6%, 97% agreed. The most you could say is that 97% of 33% (32.6%) of climate change papers agreed with AGW, but even that is dishonest, because 66% of climate change papers gave no opinion. So the only real comparison you can make between the two is the opposition, which is less than 1% of papers that gave an opinion on AGW, or about 0.3%.

Give it up. Find a real weak point in the AGW conclusion.
