(I mean I can see ripping on the liberal arts degrees, and quite frankly I think they're a waste of tuition money, both by the people who get them, and by the school to "invest" in them. But that's me, and getting an actual skill. 2. Minimum wage should reflect a living wage, whatever that living wage is due to inflation (be it $15/hour or $50/hour) then so be it. But forcing people to work themselves to death so they/their family can barely scrape by, HOPING something else doesn't hit the fan so that they have to sacrifice one necessity for another shouldn't be a thing in the developed parts of the world. And these are the people doing those essential jobs as well. "Hey, do this super important job to maintain our society as we know it! But we're only going to pay you in pennies. Enjoy living miserably!" They think that anything that isn't "free market capitalism" (or their idea of it, as we haven't used it in a long time, if really ever) is communism, you can't rationalize with neocons. I liked the bit where KN asked who said anything about unproductive members of society deserving to die, and then just a few posts later... Asura.Kingnobody said: » Remove the incentive of earning to survive and people will stop working. Three guesses who, KN. Neocons are the killers of hope sir.
Doesn't need to be fixed. Inflation hasn't even hit 4% since 2008. 2009 actually saw negative inflation rates.
At most I'd put it at $5.80/hr but $7.25/hr is ludicrous at the moment. You think your raising the bar for everyone, but really you're setting lower standards for everyone. And one thing America doesn't need right now is to have the bar set any lower. Leviathan.Chaosx said: » Doesn't need to be fixed. Go back to being a talking piece for Putin, much funnier. Offline

I don't wear boots how can I pull myself up from my bootstraps ?
People often confuse "caring about the less fortunate" and "screwing over those who work hard to support those who don't".

I'm sure Mark Zuckerberg inherited all his wealth from the vast Zuckerberg family tree. He didn't create Facebook his dad did.
