[Cerberus] Esquire LS Recruiting

Esquire is looking for well rounded players (front and back line jobs) who are interested in doing new and old content, as well as becoming an established group of friends.

Our LS will be an encouraging atmosphere, not a discouraging one. We work as a fluid team and not as a machine without a fully functional mechanism. Everyone puts in their efforts. We are also friendly, so don't worry we know how to have a good time, but we also know how to bring our skills out when the time calls for it.

We will be a PST/EST based LS(5:30pm PST). We are also looking to do delve as one of the main focuses as well as other events. Our LS is attendance based, not point based, we believe in fairness.

Esquire is still currently looking for members. If interested please post an application in our Esquire Recruitment section of the forum. Once we get a more plentiful roster we will start moving delve into a main event. For right now we do Delve/Skirmish Wed/Fri. We will still do other content(ADL, Odinv2, Legion, Omegav2, Ultimav2 and Meebles) but delve will be priority. On a side note we'll most likely do WKR.

Continuation of looking for members. Hopefully we aren't giving anyone the idea of us being a new LS. We are members from Excellence trying to help rebuild ourselves, while our leader is currently resolving real life business. We would like to see our LS continue striving forward and you as well. I for one would like to see LS's prosper in still doing events, instead of low man groups. Grant it low man groups can do most everything with ease, but I would still like to see everyone get a taste of progression in the same path. Yeah, there's times I've been trying to keep myself motivated, but I just keep pushing forward. We keep pretty active and in hopes that people get more motivated to join endgame shells. I've always liked being in endgame shells with people I know who can get things done and in fairness. Hard work and friendly atmospheres are always a plus, but you do find your speed bumps along the way, which is to be expected anywhere. Thank you for the good luck ^^

I would be interested if it didn't require a server transfer. I used to be on Cerb many years ago wouldn't mind going back sometime.

Further continuation of looking for members with front and back line jobs such as MNK(RUN sub) DRK WAR SAM PLD, WHM BRD SCH GEO SMN(capped magic skills on both GEO and SMN) COR. Events run at 5:30pm PST(7:30 CST/8:30 EST) 5 nights a week starting Mon-Fri, weekends free days. Schedule changes will be made as soon as we fill up with more members. Events will consist of Delve as main focus, ADL, Odinv2, Omega/Ultimav2, Legion, Meebles, WKR and Skirmish. Weekends or after events on weekdays, we do mini group events(Not mandatory but for people who need them) will be doing NNI/Salvage v1/v2.

We are also an attendance based LS. Anyone can make points, not show up to every event and then show up and lot over someone who has come to every event. So for fairness sake attendance based > point based.

I seriously thought about coming back after a short break of 3 months, and applying here since the thread appears encouraging and seeks quality well-rounded players which is of course reasonable.

After visiting the LS's website and seeing the most recent denied apps for contradictory reasons. They remind me once again why I went on break in the first place.

Every LS is of course within there right to run it as they see fit, that is not my issue. My issue is the misleading nature LS's can be at times. They say "We are encouraging" but what they really mean "We are encouraging to those that's already Elite"

I know Yunabell somewhat, and I have every confidence in her ability to lead. I really do think this isn't her fault, Due to the pressures of LS's having to go elite.. elite... these days to weed out all non-Quality players In the effort to help avoiding the waste of time. I really get that.

It just annoys me now how blanket and across the board, Elitism has become now.

I don't blame Yunabell's shell (Esquire) for being this way, I blame SE for driving them to this direction. For there constant need to change things unnecessarily in the interest to keep people in a endless loop of hopeless addiction is mind-boggling. I guess making everyone satisfied is not SE's concern.

It bugs me that despite me being an established quality player of 5 years, I'm now too FAR behind to join anything that matters now.

So the new motto... "Already be Delve Ready or you are not Ready!"

This was more of a rant about Square Enix, than responding negatively about Esquire.

For the record, I really don't blame Esquire for this, its all on SE. Yunabell continue to do what you do, and I wish you guys every success. I sincerely mean that! Peace!

I did this post for two reasons, to vent my frustration, and above all to feed the trolls of FFXIAH, they seem to be hungry.

First day to MMO? Any MMORPG with real endgame content that isn't easy mode would have some sort of elitism and leaving "not ready yet" players behind. GL finding your perfect game that pleases everyone.

You and me both. Adoulin content is definitely geared more towards the endgame linkshell model of pre-Abyssea days than current day social shells. Good luck with your LS.

I have made an application today. I see some familiar names in the linkshell, and it would be nice to be considered.

It isn't so much elitism. I want to say it's more like people should have enough knowledge by now to know how to gear and play their jobs properly. Being this far in the game by now, it's kind of expected from supposed "veteran" players. At least that's how everyone looks at it nowadays.


I'm sure no one is expecting you to have the new content gear already, if you're trying to join an LS to obtain that. As long as you are past older content to be able to get towards newer content, then that's more than enough to get you toward the new gear goal. Also having vast knowledge about your jobs will carry you. That's mainly what people generally look for, are people like that. One's that don't need to have their hands held and who show initiative traits.


We've only denied 2 applications, one was clearly not ready for endgame, having not finished older content.
The second one was denied from members personal experiences with them as a player. I for one haven't had any with that regarded person.
