When stars are full you'll be able to get teh dandy spectacles, moogle rod and a furnishing presumably. To contribute to filling in the stars, complete each city's quizzes, all 8. ah, havnt seen the prize lists yet lol
Hope it doesn't take many people from the server doing these to unlock them. Most I know couldn't care less about the event, except talking to the Moogle to get their exp ring.

It takes roughly 100 people for 1 star to fill in. Max of 5 stars.

For sandy art here's a link where you can check the zone->guild->related npcs click (actually should work for all zones, just chose the one) You know, I asked this and THEN looked in the chest... as of right now all 3 cities are at star3 on bismark
Siren has all cities at 5 stars. I wonder what the stars affect.
After I finished all three cities, I talked to the Oblivious Adventurer in Bastok and received a Nomad Moogle Rod by picking Ugly Range and Club. On a side note, I talked to the Moogle who lists your adventuring stats and he's now saying he has another gift to give, but you can choose to wait for a chance at a better item. I choose to wait. The Adventurer will give you something every JP midnight. I think it's 50/50 for the Moogle Club or less %. I got Ash Club 3x now...
Um, is there a page with a good guide all worked up? I'm kind of willing and able to put in time to help with one if there isn't. My only problem would be that my photobucket account would go over bandwidth quickly because of all the images I'd need to post.

That was a lot of work. I couldn't find a guide earlier so I just went ahead and made my own. This is a very visual event so I spent the night going around and taking a lot of pictures. I'm pretty nervous about going over bandwidth on photobucket for this so I made an entirely new account just for this. I went and stuck my big head in all of the pictures that I took so no one could steal the work I put into it and claim it as their own. I'll get to work on Windy after I've taken a break. I kind of went and turned FFXI the game into FFXI the chore. Oh well. I hope that you find the effort I put into this to be helpful! That's what counts!

Wow that is amazing Esdain! Thank you very much!
After a nice nap, I finished up the Windy section. I got lazy on Windy Art 101, but other than that, I think this is now the best event cheatsheet out there for the test answers. Now... to get 11 more alts/mules through all of them. PS: You didn't get the answers from me. Valefor Sunday May 19th 8:08 PM CST: San d'Oria: 771 Bastok: 744 Windurst: 739 San d'Oria Oblivious Adventurer ~ Ranguemont Pass ~ Headgear = Bronze Cap There is an Aspiring Adventurer running around in Bastok Markets near the Goldsmithing Guild; presumably in the other cities as well, but I haven't spotted any.
The various Wikis mention that these guys were used last year to upgrade the Decennial equipment, but I haven't figured out a way to start the quest. Having completed the event in all three cities, the quest Moogle just updates me on the server's progress without presenting any other options. Clicking on the adventurer just causes him to lament his choice of foodstuffs... Something about being shoved back in the womb... Weird, even by Square standards. Has anybody figured out what to do with these guys yet? I found info on the aspiring adventurers from 2012's adventurer appreciation http://wiki.ffxiclopedia.org/wiki/Adventurer_Appreciation_Campaign_2012/Guide.
It looks like they are used for obtaining Decennial Gear +1. No luck on the Nomad Moogle rod yet. I have been trying in each city with each oblivious adventurer and trying a different "seen you before location" each time but its always ash club +1 then nomad moogle wand = ash club. Per Switchorz above, if you see "ash club +1" 1st, then "some other +1 weapon" 2nd, you will obtain = nomad moogle rod. I have not seen the "other +1 weapon" so I don't know what to look for here. A friend has seen several players click the npc right at JP midnight, and one of the players walked away after equipping a nomad moogle rod (name of player unknown). So at this point it feels like it is completely chance... so good luck >< Has anyone seen the oblivious adventurer on their server today? I was unable to find them on asura. x.x
But after that emergency maintenance they're back. I wonder what SE did lol. Asura.Hoshiku said: » Has anyone seen the oblivious adventurer on their server today? People were force-disconnecting when they didn't get the 'good' rewards so they could get a do-over until they got their desired item. SE fixed it. Esdain - You are my favorite person <3 ty so much for all your hard work lol~
Thanks for the cheat sheet* Esdain~
Pretty late to the party but I just went through all 3 cities quickly enough after running my lvl 1 mule to all 3 cities XD Cheating on a test is bad mkay!
