Also if your using Thamus in this set then damage taken isn't an issue. So is rancor collar is behind asperity?

Thaumas body makes me sad, I feel underleveled in it. On anything that matters, i wear qaaxo / plunderer's / Pillager's over it.

I'm aware it may not be the ideal choice, but I just hate this body, still win parses without it and often am the only thief alive after a big aga nuke.

First time trying this, interesting, it went from 100% > 37% (haven't even updated my own sets to reflect BiS, I'm so lazy =/)

For this set, is Oneiros ring behind Rajas by a fair margin? Also what about Nilas gloves instead of Qaaxo c? I don't have a Yetshila +1 but I do have Ginsen(3 stp) which would make up for the stp on Qaaxo.

NOTHING is FAR behind. The differences between BEST IN SLOT and WORST IN SLOT are never more than a couple DPS. it's far from a drastic improvement. Nilas are just as good, and free. Ginsen/Qirmiz just as good as Yet+1 (only stupid people would even consider a yet+1 but I put it there, cause, reasons.

It's about getting the STP on Asperity, the difference from Rancor to asperity is extremely minor, as in all things. Rancor is better for WHITE DAMAGE. Asperity wins OVERALL DPS.

MDT SET GO! You don't have to stay in thaumas... you just TP in it... meaning you wear it for 1.3 seconds.

Posting because I think this is kind of funny we can get this high without even using SA or TA now, lol.

Unstacked Rudra's Storm on loldynamis mob. Was done at 3000 TP since I had some overflow due to procs going buttworthy for a bit. Overkill much? =P

Why does rudra>rudra darkness is less than the entire dmg?

I always thought a lv3 sc had at least factor 1, and iirc normally vs>vs light for mnks or fudo>fudo light for sam have full dmg as sc, why does rudra>rudra darkness has so low sc dmg?

It was Thunderday, thunder based mob, probably resisted indeed.

If I wasn't lazy and actually updated my own sets, instead of just mathing them out... I THINK. Rudra flourish SARudra could kill Khryo outright lol.

I consistently have that same difference between the last ws and sc (normally shattersoul>rudra) when playing in dynamis nms (not sure if dynamis mobs has resistance to darkness).

Also, didnt a previous update (maybe right before fudo upgrade) altered sc resistance?

99% of the time closing with rudra results in a gain in SC damage. Just bad luck, I'll post another one when I do another run.

One of the previous updates dramatically lowered sc resistance, yes, but nothing is 100%.

The Khimaira bosses in Salvage (and I think the regular Khimaira in Caedarva Mire) take reduced magic damage, including skillchains.

Guys, I have some seriously heartbreaking news.

Now, you're not going to believe me, because, I'm actually sickened by what I'm about to say, and this is 100% truth, I *** you not.

The modifier and the change to Rudra is SO *** DRASTICALLY HIGH... that the lead that Mandau had over Izhiikoh due to it's att+40 and relic proc for white damage, has been completely nullified.

The +15 Dex added to Rudra, and the higher base damage is so important that the amount of damage added to the average rudra is a BIGGER increase than what Mandau brings to white damage.

This... is straight up disgusting, appalling, and sadly true.

If you take all the sets I just posted, and replace Mandau/Atoyac with Izhiikoh/Atoyac the increase... is... very saddening.

THIS was NOT like this prior to Rudra's update. This actually BEGS for an update to Mandau's pitiful 91 Base damage. You can see Mandau has a clear lead fr white damage, but the Rudra's increase is too drastic.

While I completely understand the sentiment that that the "ultimate weapons" should be best, this is nothing new for FFXI. This situation is absolutely no different from status quo for SAM ever since Tsurumaru, and I never saw Amano get buffed to stay ahead. Even for THF itself, 119 Empy dagger has been behind other easily obtained 119 options for a while, proving that RME status is no guarantee of beating non-RME.

I'd suggest THF focus on the positive. Namely, you just went to being a top tier DD with something as easy to obtain as a Delve boss weapon. Big jump for a job that as recently as a week ago would be denied a spot by some people if the party didn't need TH.

I totally understand that, and I completely agree. It just breaks my heart to see it Q_Q

A small sacrifice of Mandau, for the greater good of gaining a place on the totem-pole.

Nevermind that, simple mistake on the Mani legs path B <.<;; DEX ALL THE THINGS!

One more pearl of wisdom, Manibozho legs A that everyone made last year, that you still probably have for evis/rudra etc... Now Mani B path is the superior option. How sad.

Possibly other Mani path B pieces... and Qaaxo... I don't even know at this point. DEX ALL THE THINGS!

Thats interesting, never would think in stacking ratt for rudras.

The kick in the teeth is it wasn't true until this change. Mandau while only being SLIGHTLY ahead, was still ahead.

All it took was a simple little change to Rudra... It's not even like a unique stat like tsumaru, just a simple DEX boost.

Mandau with 15 dex would basically take back over. So if anything NERF ALL THE IZHIIKOH!

A twashtar which has always been LOL would be even better. 20 DEX with aftermaffs.
