Help With BST Sets

I'm not really new to BST but I'd like to deck out my BST. I have access to everything. I made a Farsha,PDTx2 Axes and am now working on STR axes. Here are some sets I've made, please correct or let me know where I can improve.

I hit cap haste and my pet has +10% haste as well.



This is my ruinator set.



No Neo-Nyzle pieces yet. Which boots should I wear Ferine Ocreae +2 or dilarams-sollerets?

You can change around recast gear as needed. I still dont have twilight mail. NQ ogre gloves will cap reward, i already had HQ.

Hecat has STR+3 and crit hit +3
Theres some piecese i can upgrade.

Farsha is pretty much garbage and STR axes will beat it, af3+2 feet would be better for ur tp set. I use prothos byrnie over af3+2, not sure which really is better. I have dilaram's but was told they suck, havent tested them myself.

I'll shoot the ***with you about it in-game if you like Taint. BST is one of my favorite jobs.

For Ruinator I would change in Avant Cuisses +1 Epona's Brutal personally but nothing really bad.

for sub you could work in a DA % axe.

Not to nitpick someone elses gear in a thread where I'm asking for advice, but Heca legs seem aweful for Ruinator so does Centaurus earring.

The Centaurus Earring is better than your Moonshade Earring though. STR+4 earring would be ideal, paired with Brutal.

But yes, that dude should get some Avant Cuisses +1 asap.

I did say theres pieces i can upgrade, never claimed its the best.

Yeah with the TPmod being ACC, it would be 4att+?acc vs 10att. The WS has nice attboost so they both are pretty meh earrings.

For your TP set: Suppanomimi over Ghillie+1, Ferine Ocreae +2 over Phorcys Schuhs.

For Ruinator, Epona's will have an edge over a 2nd Pyrosoul when fighting most things that you'll be using BST against. And yeah, get a STR+3 Earring (or STR+4, if possible - haven't seen one on Quetz AH in a while, not sure how your server is).


As a Farsha wielder, they're pretty close. Ferine Ocreae +2 for fodder mobs, but Dilaram's Sollerets will pull ahead when you fight Dynamis Decent Challenge mobs and beyond.

For anyone using Pet: PDT-11% Astolfo x 2, use Dilaram's in all cases.

Your damage will pretty much always outclass your pet's, but the pet does all the tanking. I like to prioritize master over pet unless I need to back off then I add more pet enhancing stuff on.

I'd full time quijotes while tping if your pet is tanking. Oce+1 and Toci is nice as well. I know you're a drk but suppanomimi is pretty hard to pass up if you're going to take on 1 hander dual wielding jobs.

For reward, set looks good. I personally use a zoral jaa and just reward when my tp is low to minimize losses. And MND is a modifier as well.

For pet only, there is the crystalline prophecy body, beast bazubands, oneiros cappa, spurer beret if you need to keep some master haste.

Your ruinator set looks perfect.

Outside dynamis a killer build may pull better numbers but I've never calculated all that stuff. But it does stack up to like +50% damage I believe with merits gear and food. Along with an amazing intimidation rate.

I'd aim for this set, instead of a set purely based on the owner. I realize it has Hrafn in it, but it's really the only way to accomodate Ferine body and the pet-haste gear.

For Dynamis or things where Killer effects aren't a benefit, you can use Porthos Byrnie and Armada Sollerets. It could actually be the better set overall, as pet haste is incredibly potent.

Don't worry about bending over backwards for 26% Haste if it means giving up a powerful slot like a Ring. Your DPS will be higher with a Rajas Ring instead of Blitz. :)

ogier body is 4 haste as well
