What Is One Old Gear Set That U Still Want To Get

Ares

The set that I love the most would have to be Iron Musketeer's or Fourth Division since they are the same. I've loved the look of it ever since ffxi first came out for the ps2, seen it in the strategy guide and fell in love with it. I'm even wearing it now in game ^^.

I kinda always wanted a full enkidu set.

They're not gear sets, but I'd love to have a Laurel Crown and a Nomad Cap.

Nocturnus mail head and body or Darksteel Armet set.

E Body

Ares or askar

Always wanted the Usukane or Hachiryu armour sets...

But to be different, I'm gunna say a full Hydra Doublet set. Looks nice!

and to have a Visible Cape cause it would kinda be like me being a super hero!

wow not many people go after the pld set i want why is that.

I've never been able to get the boots, but I have a hairpin for 3 characters...

i tryed camping the boots like 2 months ago i caved and payed the 100k to get them now i am just hoping they go back to 100k so when i sell them to get my money back i do not take a hit.

I prefer r/ex.

Why?

Because it was outdated even at the 75cap. Homam, ares, askar mixed and matched did far better.

The koenig set focus' heavily on VIT. Before pld/nin tanking became the norm, PLDs stacked VIT to boost defence and reduce the physical damage taken (this was long before gear with -pdt and -dt was readily available also).

Homam gave plds haste and fast cast. Useful for building tp (haste obviously) and recasting shadows and flash.

Ares was primarily a WS set and the body was for idling with refresh. The set also gave a +10% HP vs. the Koenig flat 170hp. This may be less but it also gave MP, atk, acc so a nice trade off.

Askar gave some ok stats. tbh I was never pushsed about it for pld. Feet were ok for -%dt

Though typically the good plds never used full sets of any of these. Everything is situational. Though I do understand wanting a set because it looks nice.

Heh, I know it's piss easy to get now, but I'm still only 2/5 Homam, wouldn't mind finishing the other 3 pieces. Always had shitty luck with the drops. Once I finish building my PLD up for 99 cap, finishing Homam is definitely one of my goals.

Nothing newer introduced thus far replicates their functionality. Which unfortunately means they both retain their sky-high prices.

Kirin's Pole: What was once dropped, laughed at, and forced on monks is now worth money.

Novio Earring: Going to buy one soon, wish I didn't pass on all the ones I could've lotted back in the day.

Kraken Club: Wish I bought one for 40m before I took a break 4 months ago. Who would've thought they'd be as expensive as a relic now?
