Cruel Joke - AoE Doom (Name probably says it all. 999MP AoE mortal ray or something)

Cesspool - Damage (Probably Water) + Knockback + Plague (already have Delta for this when it's actually applicable)

Tearing Gust - Damage (Probably Wind) + MDB down

That set is quite solid, just make sure you're accuracy capped and you'll do well. Suppa is definitely going to be your best swap until you get adhemar.

Speaking of accuracy, I know accuracy concerns were mentioned a little while ago with the Adhemar paths.

If you go with Path A over Path B, in accuracy capped situations, you'll lose approximately 1100 average damage from CDC and about 150 DPS overall. However, the accuracy choices are obviously far superior in situations in which you need it. A very very strong case exists for taking A over B, especially with how evasive things are lately.

No, Ishvara is beat quite handily by Brutal/Moonshade or even Bladeborn/Steelflash for CDC.

It's still an upgrade for Savage or any other jobs that use onne-hit WSs, so it's a good piece to pick up, but CDC accessories remain unchanged.

The Orobon doesn't drop the sword =[. It's the Tulfaire for blade, orobon for club.

Yeah, it's definitely good for many WS and I was updating my sets after getting the drop last night. BLU just gets to remain unchanged :)

BTW, how do you feel about Vampirism offhand these days for a more melee focused build (comments in the guide mention "with further testing, could make it a far better weapon than I currently give it credit for...)

I know high acc situations, Nibiru Blade is awesome. But when you don't need the extra acc, I've been using Claid/Vamp (near max augs) and been pretty happy with it - very good damage, the HP/MP/TP drain is a bonus (that I have a hard time actually quantifying), and it's quite nice to have MAB in a great melee offhand for the occasional nuke.

Vampirisms allow the use of sanguine and an actual piercing sword, so I use those for convenience's sake. Cudgels are slightly better, though.

Tank + nukers strategy has worked very well for our group. With the trust HP bonuses right now, don't even need an actual tank. We used Amchuchu, Slyvie, and Moogle, then 2 GEO 1 SCH for players. You want to use earth damage primarily.

Oh yeah, in addition to my above comments I do use a lot more Sanguine these days in my melee setups, so another positive for Vamp over Nibiru when I can get away with it (and piercing is a consideration).

I would highly highly highlyyyyyyyy suggest not using BSTs. Tulfaires take 50% reduced damage from slashing, effectively ruling out your strongest pets. You will also be unable to keep the poison off your pets consistently, leading to riding reward timers, healing salves, mulsums, and even that might not be enough during mighty strikes. Nuking or ranged are exceptionally good choices. We also had a lot of success with GEO PLD COR, with chains with CDC > Leaden and Earth bursts off of that. You just want to avoid slashing damage when possible and having magic damage to proc it makes your life infinitely easier.

As far as melee Vampirism offhand is concerned, it's not a bad option. Nibiru B will be superior, but if you find yourself mixing in a good amount of magic for certain fights, Vampirism will be a big help.

Looks like Telos will replace Tripudio, Cessance might have a place as well. That saber would be so wonderful if the AGI was DEX and we had acc instead of MAB. That crit rate would have been excellent.

Wanion isn't as good on certain spells.

Quote:
2 STP vs 2% DA? Cant be that huge a difference?

It's more so about the accuracy, but 2 STP has the potential for beating 2% DA under AM3. If you don't need the accuracy, it'll depend on your build as a whole and I can't really give a straight answer to that question.
