Rudra's Storm Build
Wheres the source for this testing? Like i said before anything that needs max th the thf wont be dding take ADL if theres a thf they probably wont have PD and would die quickly and leaving ADL with no TH on him. Same with legion run in tag with feint anything else doesnt require max TH.
This might sound silly but its been bugging me for awhile and ive read up on it but I still dont get it. Why use rancor collar for Rudra's? Its critical hit rate + and you wont be using Rudra's unstacked so its a 100% critical hit so I'm not sure what Rancor is doing for the ws. No doubt I`m missing something really obvious.
There is no reason at all to use rancor for Rudra.
It will never do anything for the ws other than acc+6. Cerberus.Kvazz said: » There is no reason at all to use rancor for Rudra. It will never do anything for the ws other than acc+6. Because they're either derp or too lazy to swap out their Evisceration set.
Quote: Wheres the source for this testing? Here. There isn't a lot of data points yet but even very limited testing shows that there's a significant drop with each TH level increase. Also keep in mind that if you're trying to increase TH level, sneak attacks and trick attacks are your best bet (Not thoroughly tested yet, but pretty much all of us can attest to its effect), and removing your TH pieces when you're doing it is going to reduce your TH procs pretty substantially, which was the entire point of the post you were having doubts about. If you're mostly there just for TH you're "wasting" your SA and TAs if you decide to not wear your TH gears while you're doing it. You seem to be missing my point anything worth having max TH gear on you wont be meleeing unless you have PD which is normally for the heavy DDs therefore running in tagging the mob then running back out. Fodder/dyna where kill speed matters you should have TH gear on hit it then swap tp gear then it dies right after its proc'd. VW well th is useless.
You don't have a point unless you're willing to put your foot down and say there absolutely exists 100% no situations where a THF is meleeing and wants TH. You were scoffing at the idea of someone keeping their TH gear on when they gave a perfectly legitimate reason for them to do so (Granted the rest of the set was pretty shitty). I actually personally don't really care much for going out of your way to raise the TH level because each level past 3 is like 0.1% drop rate or something stupid like that, but there definitely do exist situations where a THF is meleeing where people don't really care about their damage output at all, like lower Kings pops or Salvage Bosses.
And recently I've been meleeing in TH gear (well, sans knife of course) for Dynamis because since I duo it, there's basically never a situation where the enemy won't be dead in about 5 seconds after we proc it, so might as well throw it on. Extra evasion also helps when I'm tanking 3 monsters, heh. High levels of th dont really matter in dyna you can put TH gear on for the first attack round then switch to tp. I take it you havent done much ADL or legion where meleeing w/o the proper buffs will get you killed easily and wont be able to safely get up till the mob is dead and w/o th since you are dead. Fodder/dyna gets more coins when dd properly and not in th gear since kill speed is faster.
Try actually reading my post. Kill speed doesn't matter in Dynamis if you're being bottlenecked by your proc rate, and just because there exists situations where you don't melee in TH gear doesn't mean there are no situations, period.
DC mobs proc very quickly and if you are a duo/trio or anything more you shouldnt be messing with EP mobs. Solo fine stick to EP if you cant kill DC but hell i bring in large amounts of currency just with TH1 on blu because i have a fast kill speed. Ive done dyna on THF a few times with good gear(no relic or empy) and max TH gear(minus dagger obviously) and kill speed is alot slow and got less currency as a result.
DC mobs will die very fast in a duo if you skillchain. Also, DC mobs do not have a higher proc rate.
They do drop more currency\forgottens more often though.

My current set: Any thoughts? Thanks Just use Mote's Spreadsheets - Set ws to Rudra's on the setup page
I'm assuming that's stacked or there would be quite a bit to change, but Ghillie Earring over Aesir is an easy swap until Moonshade. Hume, stacked w/ SA, RCB, against Dyna DC this appears to be best (Excluding Khepri)- Off-hand Pugiunculus (loses to Fire Thokcha for ws, but wins overall w/ tp phase) Ocelomeh +1 Love Brutal Moonshade TP+ Athos Raiders +2 Thundersoul Thundersoul Atheling Wanion Hecatomb +1 Thaumas Yah use mote's spreadsheets ur race, subjob, buffs as well as the target mob are all going to play a role in whats "ideal."
Yeah, that's stacked.
I have a moonshade, but it's a refresh/macc one- I'm mage quite a bit. Going to go check that out that link. Thanks.

Maybe this:
ItemSet 297365 Would be an improvement for very little cost/effort (JoL + pop, is easy as THF + SCH or WHM). Thur gloves better/worse on athos active days? I imagine raiders +2 are better than both for SA. Ps. Holy **** when did oce. head become 5-600k??? I bought & sold mine for 50k maybe 8 weeks ago. (/shocked)! Aren't af2 +2 hands better than any other option?
For sure:

Af3+2 hands win on sneak attack, non-athos days and anything with higher def - my 2 cents, go with em to save invent. Heca +1 legs are great, athos for sneak attack win though. Try and get an aluh for offhand at least, will boost your dps noticeably. |
