most likely because he spends ~90% of his time dead and waiting to respawn

You have to enter with goals to do something entirely different, Eve/trials/EXP etc. Then you'll have no problem finding him, he'll find you.

Don't think you can solo him, would need stunners to stun the single-target magic so spikes don't omgwtfpwn I think.

spikes wouldn't matter for the blu, can just turn and keep dding. whm can /nin for en-stun and cureskin through the spikes if wanted to rush
I'm always thf/nin and whm/blm , never tried to solo but a whm did. (90 cap) And blu has been able to for a long time

Do some research yourself if you're so interested, not like it takes more than 2 minutes to find out.

Make sure you're not just going by Wiki's listed spawn area, that guy can be pretty much anywhere. Common places I've seen him is over the efts/goobbues/sapplings at flux 2, over Khalamari and flying around that mountain right there with the limules to the south, over the funguars, rafflesias, wivres, treants, floating eyes, bugards, morbols... he's a real pain. He likes to hang out over flux 4 a lot, been eaten at 5 while fighting Raskovnik. I've never seen him as far as Kukulkan and the leeches/puddings area or down in the valleys towards the zone entrance where the lizards are but that doesn't mean it's not possible I guess.

He has popped on me while fighting Kulkulan but only once since abyssea came out. I agree it's probably uncommon.
Most times I see him by 5 as well around that mountain or like 500 yalms north of 04
By Datruthuhate 2011-06-17 00:17:09
why is he so hard to find???
.. becuz retards drag the mob across the zone to areas like conflux 3 to fight it.

You can find him every time if you have
A)Ranger
He spawns on the ground for 1-2 seconds, if ur RNG is fast and just spams widescan every few seconds, you can catch it before it acends the air. Also can use it if it aggro's anyone.

Well Virtue...I'm using my PS3's browser atm, which is VERY limited, until I fix my computer, so I can't exactly research it in "2 minutes".. and this was already a thread, so why not ask here? >_<... Anyways, thanks for the info on Turul. Hopefully my comp will be fixed soon, and I'll try on my 90 blu

he has very good fast cast, be ready to eat the odd aeroga 4.
I bet a sam/war with fools drink revitalizer/dusty wing/daedalus wing/icarus wing and masa with some potions could just zerg kill in a minute with 15 ws (chaining) only like 60k hp
Can't remember if fool's would stop en stun, if not this would be risky

any -en effect, still procs even at 0 dmg, so you'd have to stop the damage itself (IE perfect dodge or shadows)
By Blazed1979 2011-06-17 00:50:31
MNK/DNC+ Vere can easily solo this if they dont give a ***about drops. Just need 1 Med, Fool's powder.
-40/50% PDT set >Drain Samba>Cstance>Fools Powder>victory smite> hundred fists > 2-3 victory smites = dead turul.
A vere MNK will chew threw turul's HP before Fool's powder wears off. You just won't get ***but a searing cape or neireschuasdjkaljsdla.
EDIT: Fools does stop spike DMG. Idk why you guys saying it doesnt. Unless powder/tonic/gambir don't all provide the same -mdt status.

Because I've tried it. Enspell damage, maybe. But shock spike damage, no.

Yes it does negate spikes damage, you must have not used the right drink.

but when Tunga uses break or Adze uses endoom enpetrify fools drink stops em so you should be fine here too with it

Fool's Tonic? Pretty sure that's what I used. Only way I would have died is because of lag, chatlog showing me killing myself from spike damage after popping fools.
By Blazed1979 2011-06-17 00:56:22
idk i'v sold close to 100 loki's, and i've done a lot more turuls than that, fools powder always keeps me swinging when tutu decides to thunderIV/V itself.

Fool's tonic is pretty much the phalanx 3 magic equivelant of that world, won't help a lot just like Fanatic's Tonic for a normal melee phalanx 3 effect
