My highest Torcleaver on VW NMs is 2.9k (can't remember which path/NM it was), but those feet would probably help me go beyond 3k!!

Was wondering, How exactly would Byrnie+1 Beat Grim Cuirass/+1

For Torcleaver would 5 VIT really beat 10 STR/5 attack(11STR/7Attack)
(Or would this be only in Abyssea?) Just wasn't sure how close the two are.

QQA is being a huge *** as always and I haven't been able to make Ein.

Light, Snow and Aqua Belt work for it, but you shouldn't be using ele belts. Anguinus Belt or Warwolf Belt with attack augment are better.
for both inside and outside abyssea?

If I remember correctly, In abyssea your STR is technically autocapped from Cruor buffs anyway I think, so Any STR missing from Grim should already be made up for in your Torcleaver build. Basically Byrnie+1 would be pre-Ares/Shadow in that regard, and still good to use overall.

I was actually just wondering what factor DA/TA would play on Torcleaver compared to just the mods alone. Like what sacrifices would be worth while. At least in Abyssea with VV/Apoc on

Edit: Eh well heres hoping they add some VIT/Attack to the damn cuisses. sucks they are absolutely useless :/

As of now, I use this for a Calad TP set:

Caps haste,7hit, etc.

But for a more "Optimized" TP set, I was thinking on trying to throw together somthing like this:

Keeps 7 hit and caps haste, but in this, I'm trying to add more DA/TA
especially for under LR and Aftermath.
Basically, would this second set be worth the trouble to put together, or are the gains going to be so marginal, they'll hardly be noticed?

Thanks in advance for any input.

Are you sure that gives you a 7 hit? The body isn't 6 stp, the wearer doesn't get the sphere effect. On top of that, you will need to focus on accuracy instead of DA/TA. Against some of the higher tier VW NMs, you will still be lacking accuracy. I don't recommand calmecac's unless you are absolutely set on accuracy. I would use Phasmida Belt for that exact reason.

My ideal set would be:

Calad/Pole/Stone
AF+2/Rancor/Brutal/Bale
Ace's/AF+2/Rajas/Tyrant
Atheling/Phasmida/ASA pants with 7 acc, 3 haste/Ace's

That would be a set that should get you 85%+ accuracy with the use of temp items.

PS: With the above, you will be 1% haste over the cap, so you can think of some way to put that in good use and sub other slots for accuracy. I can't think of anything at this point.

Goading/Ryuga combo would net you 9 more accuracy.

I see. I wasn't sure on that. I'd asked a few people ingame, and was told the sphere effect *does* affect the wearer. That would, in fact ruin the 7 hit.

Unfortunately, I used my ASA legs for Cure potency/haste for RDM, so maybe something different there? Homam legs come to mind, without actually doing a search. Also, I need 20 STP /sam to maintain 7 hit, so that's a swap out of pole for rose strap (Which will also let me fudge around with my WS set too). Maybe something that looks like this would do it.

This was just a "for now" set. I hadn't calculated the actual haste percentage, I just stuck in 26%
Again, without doing a search, Homam legs will make a difference of 13 + accuracy, while keeping haste cap.

Nice find on the boots. Ace's mail/goading/tyrant/Ryuga would do the trick.

Perle would give a decent chunk of acc over Homam and still hit 26% haste with the rest of his set intact, probably your best option there since it's a larger gain than my suggestion (relative to using Homam) and keeps the attack on Ace's Leggings.

Swap that tyrant's ring with blitz and use perl legs. With rose strap you don't need tyrant's ring. 33 stp is all you need /sam.

Not sure where you're seeing 33 STP (Maybe because FFXIAH.com gear sets calculate Rose strap @ 20 STP?).

In any case, the latest amalgamation brings us to a comfortable 7 hit(14.64tp/swing), haste cap, and a total of 48 accuracy, and a generous helping of att. I like it. Tyvm Returner and Nightfyer.

So here's how the "Final" set looks:
