Ok, so my linkshell was doing this today and we keep having to use a brew to kill 2 of them instead of straight tanking it, we have a stun order of 4 people that are stunning all spells, we tank it from behind just like strats ive seen say so breath doesn't hit you.
Plague swipe keeps taking all shadows and hitting for a ton of dmg, that part isn't what wipes us, that part is np, we just put shadows back up and cure.
But he builds resistance to stun after a while and then we can't stun spells anymore, thus he levels up.
What are we doing wrong?

honest opinion *** str8 tanking my crew was doing 4 pops a brew dont know how u guys only managing 2.

Not killing it fast enough to outpace the stun resistance. This is one of the if not the shittiest mobs left in the game to do without a brew.

It's easy to just kill it without a brew. We did it with ease. The key is to simply stun every single spell he casts. If he can't get a spell off, he can't level up, he can't fulmination. That's going off memory but i'm pretty sure i'm correct.
We had 12 people but i can see that fight easily done with 6 (or less) people that don't suck and are on the correct jobs.

Not anything I've ever had an issue w/, but seems some people either skipped or didn't want to respond to that.
Also I'm somewhat sure he can use fulmination before he levels up at all. At least, I noticed that it had used it even when all spells were stunned when I did it the one or two times that I had.

We popped it 3 times in a row and killed without brew and no deaths with nin x2, whm, thf, rdm, blu and blm. Rdm was there to stun. Blm was backup. Just need to kill fast. I guess both nins having Blade: Hi (1 Kannagi and 1 WoE katana) and thf having Twashtar helped with kill speed.

Sorry, i missed it. It honestly shouldn't be alive long enough for this to be an issue. iirc we attacked it from behind as it would just swing its tail and not turn. A dirty THFs paradise! It dropped fairly quickly.
As for using Fulmination before he levels up.. I never saw it. Every single spell he cast was stunned when we did it. Maybe after a spell goes off he can use Fulmination rather than leveling up instantly? We didn't wish to risk it and find out! lol.
I have not personally fought Apademak, so my opinion is just speculative, but it seems to me the danger is that he self-nukes to heal and level-up, unlocking Fulmination. In that way, you can consider this fight similar to Turul. Turul self-nukes to heal and gain extremely potent spikes. Turul won't single-tier nuke Aero himself, so the basic strategy is to stun all single-tier Thunder nukes that aren't AM (Since he doesn't AM himself.).
So with that in mind, make sure the BLMs stack dark magic skill, thunder accuracy, and make sure they stun only single-tier nukes, and eat the -ga's.

Does anyone know if fulmination has an element ?
I've tanked him on his side and we stunned it the whole time, its after like 10+ and you're bored when you start messing up and it becomes fun :D
I still don't understand how you can only kill 2 with a brew...
