Corsair - WS/RA/QD Sets

Quite new to this job so I wanted to ask for some advice for my sets.

This is my Wildfire set



Aside from the +2 head, are there any better pieces? Don't plan on doing the missions for the body.

This is my QD set



Denali legs and mab rings from tahrongi I guess? Does the +1 head provide extra damage?

This is my RA set



Aside from +2 items what else should I get?

Loki's Kaftan will do much better for wildfire than af3 body.

For reference here are my sets (i was farming gunpowder swathes when i uploaded these sets btw, for most situations i am /sam with vulcan's staff and reaver grip +1):

wildfire: http://www.guildwork.com/ffxi/asura/hoshiku/#/equipsets/cor-wildfire/ (the hat has 4 agi, 2 mab, 3% ws dmg... it beats cor af3 +2 head by a slight bit)... i'm waiting to see what belts are available at 99 before i blow 1 mil on the 8 agi belt, i agree with your ring choices over mine but i'm at 7 phrygian ore. your neck sometimes beats mine and at other times does not, i chose consistency. Once i get af3+2 legs i'll use those over nimue's tights. I believe there's legs out there with more than 8 agi but don't have them yet.

as far as qd goes i think the triple dmg proc is more likely with the more pieces of af3+2 you wear so 5/5 of those would give you the most dmg in the long run.

ugg pendant only loses out to art during full moon.

No, the +1 AF head does not provide extra damage for quick draw over the regular AF, but it does add 4 AGI for accuracy.

Also, I'd use your AGI+7 rings over your Macc ones until you can get the Mab rings from Tahrongi. I believe there was some testing done on it and Macc was found to be no where near as good as AGI for QD.

Im usually /blm or /rdm so kinda hard to get latent up :/

iirc it is based on max current with buffs so getting cruor buffs and cancelling makes it kinda easy.

ACP with mab would be nice for QD. And get -delay on it while you at it!!!

Hit build isn't going to help me much inside abyssea. I usually use Sea daughter atma. But how much STP would I need for 5 hit? With what bullets? Afaik bullet delay matters for tp gain

Got everything for BLM and just lvled COR. Got my friends an empyrean and wanted one too, first staff but then decided to get Gun since i was leveling Cor anyway. Took maybe 1 week? Empyreans aren't hard to get. Got all the other ***from helping my friends, while getting my own +2 for BLM or bought it from the AH. Got +2 legs from helping with sobeks for kannagi. Can duo Bennu for +2 body in 1 day easily. Got feet by helping friend with T3 vnm in vunkerl and finished it off with 1 Sedna. Seals I got randomly from doing all the things for my BLM. So yeah, I'm new to the job but anyone could get these items pretty fast <.<

Ops Hoshiku i completely overread your post. Thanks for the advice, i forgot that lokis gives agi too! For the neck, I have both artemis and uggalepih but forgot that you can delete your mp enhancement to get below 50% mp. For the QD part you might probably be right. I don't know what the proc rate is though, if it is like BLM then it's most likely 1% per piece. Everytime it procs u get a 200% boost in damage so 1 piece adds 2% damage boost in average. THe 10 agi legs are ambushers hose from the Ixion in vunkerl. They aren't too hard to get. Working on them atm.

Yeah also the ixion mob drops other stuff that people want. Like thunder dmg atma, whm and nin accessories so getting help isn't that hard. And the KIs for it are from mobs that can be duod/solod

Btw does armageddon aftermath affect QD? In my experience it does but only tested like 5. Might have been some lucky Af3+2 streak

If you got everything else for your other jobs and are bored then why not? Should I play Cor for a few weeks first, become perfect at playing it and then get Empyrean? It is the easiest Empyrean to get lol..Not like it is a relic

Yeah you should actually, you're lootwhoring for a job you clearly don't even know how to play if you're asking people for gear set advice.

Atma advice would be one thing, but if you're actually asking what kind of gear to use, when thats easily done through research, is a completely different story. If you put as much time into gear research as you did getting your Armageddon, then maybe you'd actually deserve the thing. It may be the easier one to get, but that doesn't mean someone didn't deserve it more.

What do I care if other ppl deserve it more. Should I shout in Jeuno and ask if someone needs my help with farming it? Me and a friend of mine duod it. Still better than afking in Jeuno all day doing nothing. Not like I'm in a linkshell and took all the gear and the weapon from someone else. I took some time to research about it. Why my sets arent toooo noobish. Just needed some final advice.

My linkshell screams HappyFunTymeGo, but we don't have happy fun times, or tymes for that matter, and we certainly don't GO.

Odd most people actually play this game for enjoyment

Its a good thing I'm not most people :D
