I resent the responses to my QQ post and must thus make another QQ post expressing what a unique snowflake I am and how wrong everyone else is for *gasp* playing the game how they want to and with whoever they want to, just like I want to except EVERYONE HAS TO AGREE WITH ME OR THEY'RE WRONG. Obviously my LS and Forums don't force me to do things, but I have found that taking advice from these places has made me a better player, and increased the respect that I garner from others. This of course makes the game much more enjoyable.

In this game, there are many choices you can make, sure.
I think the choice you seem to be ignoring at the moment is this: The decision whether to suck... Or not.
It's really simple, if you decide to suck, please by all means, wear HELP I AM TRAPPED IN 2006 PLEASE SEND A TIME MACHINE gear, do stupid things, don't learn your jobs, and QQ about how everyone treats you badly.
But if you make the decision not to suck... Listen to your LS, your fellow friends, the forums. Sure, sometimes your gear/merits make you feel like you're just another cookie from the cookie cutter, but ultimately, how you play is your choice... Just because me and 10,000 other people all use the same gear set, doesn't mean we play exactly the same.
