This train of thought goes directly to the more paradoxial and complicated elements of life.
Being able to stop and think is not the same as being able to facilitate your own thoughts into written word though.
Joining a Linkshell is basically like signing a contract. Sure it's just a game, but you can always leave and do your own thing. I haven't been tied down by an LS in at least a year, and I'm personally loving it.
Here's the bottom line. When you join a shell, you adhere to their standards and practices because you basically told them that you are up to the task they offer. That's all there is to it. No need to QQ. Just leave. It's really not that hard to drop a pearl and go do something by yourself.

It's amazing that Agles' series of threads would be considered masterful pieces of trolling (posts provacative appeal for pity/compassion, tosses in just the right amount of bad spelling to irk both Grammar Nazis and sympathisers alike, replies infrequently making flamers reply mostly to each other's posts, doesn't reply with any anger in spite of any acerbic reactions to the OP, creates multiple follow-up threads on the same subject) if only they were intentional. :p

No one forces you to play the game in any way. People request you have skill or gear a certain way in order to join their groups/linkshells. That's their right. They have the same right to enjoy the game as everyone else. They choose to not waste their time on people who don't take the game as seriously as they do.

I pretty much play the game the way I like to play it. I know that my way is not always the best but it makes me happy and that’s all that matters. If I want to know how to do something I look it up or ask people. I don't rely on my linkshell much, I just like to have people to talk to and stuff. I don't even seek parties I just solo mostly. But it doesn’t take much to make me happy either. I get all impressed by simple things like when I see a goblin digger out and catch him burring something in the ground and then jump up and down on it. God love it! ^^
