Ah the Jungles, how I used to loathe thee.
Since higher level people would help my parties out sometimes I would go back and help newbie parties there as well

First time I partied with other people it was actually an invite for a party in progress there, I was whm and they needed a new one...I had no idea how to get to camp, they waited on me for like 30 minutes until someone came to pick me up. So embarrassed...I didn't party anymore for another good 5 months.

I actually solo'd whm up to lv 54 iirc. And that was before the exp patch on easy preys only...30xp per mob <_< eh.

I didn't really do it to learn anything, it's just that I was wary of talking to strangers. I've been for at least one year until friends from rl came into the game, got me used to it and eventually I was able to party with others on my own.
I didn't have nin yet at the time. I subbed black mage until I started partying. After that I decided to level summoner for autorefresh and max mp.
Back in my day I was BLM/THF and /NIN. I set up SCs and MB'd them too!
I did get kicked from some parties for it though. I didn't have RDM leveled!

Whm was actually my first 75, I liked it. I turned away from it because people were very rude to me even when I was doing things properly(imagine if I *** up).

Took 6ish months to get from 54 to 75. Lots of deaths, but you learned about aggro range and pathing really quickly. Also, where all of the coffer spawns were too.

Being a main healer myself, I was aware if I did do something wrong. When something significant happened that was out of my power and some *** decided to get lippy with me, nah...that won't fly. I might be nice, but I'm not nice when I want to be.

I was actually spoiled by my first two 75 jobs as they were whm and cor. Never had to wait for party invites like everyone else. Especially on cor, people invited me even if I wasn't seeking...sometimes even if I was already in another party lol <_<
