so im trying to download the update and halfway through stage 1 tells me i dont have enough space on HDD... are ps2 players ***?

1/3 doubtful/ i only know of 1 or 2 PS2 players. and its 10+ year old hardware. sometiems you gotot invest in something new or you get left behind. look for a file fix after teh update is done.

i'm hoping its an error on SE's part, cause every PS2 user i've asked still has 24,000+mb storage on the HDD, but error message says that isnt enough for 1,000mb update

you probably have too much crap on your hdd, the game doesn't take anywhere near that much space.
As to the idiots who say "ps2 limitations" they game engine is still ps2 based, nothing would change even if it were the case.

eh, could try removing tetra master and see if that helps

I deleted tetra master and all my old game saves on it. Still nothing. Not that its a space matter, that's just what the error says. 1010mb update vs 24,000mbs should be nps. Probably just a glitch in the update.

well as it sits now you can wait to see if SE or Sony makes a patch. or you can try formating and starting from scratch. So far no issues reported with G1 PS3 users. There is no garentee that wipingthe drive and doign a full reinstall will solve anything. Your options are limited atm.

Who cares what people play on lol. If they support a system, an error like this shouldn't exist. If they like playing on PS2, what's the problem?

lol we have multiple accounts at my house. We all play at the same time, and nothin beats dual boxin on the PS2 and 360 on two side by side TVs. Well, except when tri box farming on three PCs, but its way easier to handle controllers like that ^^;

I've played on all 3 versions, and I prefer playing on the PS2 easily. The original xbox wasn't even worth the plastic it's made out of, and the 360 is an epic design failure.

...Are you seriously comparing that to playing FFXI on PS2 instead of PC?

emulation never runs as well as the original, however playing with the ability of save states on pc (emulators) makes the experience decent for some games, however a lot of games I prefer on the original systems, like Zelda. (but A Link to the Past: SNES) (however the gba remake is better, but it was actually remade for it)
