Well, you could have the adverse like me and don't do any LS. In my experience, I've been with too many LS' where the leaders all have axes to grind. I'm assuming Abyssea is no difference. Plus... I've heard stories.

Well most ls i join suck, and really dont know what their doing, but im not leader so i cant suggest anything or ppl start to (T.T)
But then theres the other end of the spectrum, where the ls is super kickass, but tooo selfish to let any other members in. . .
If all the shells you've joined sucked and you dont like the leadership examples but you have ideas how it should be done...... why dont you start your own?

I found, for me, the best way to get anything from Abyssea is treating it like, say, a Nyzule run, via /sh in WG. For example, I needed Blm leg seals. I merely provide my own pop and /sh for the NM. In the shout, however, I specify that Blm seals are X'd. everything else, free lot. It's worked out extremely well, and frees me to do with as I please and at my own pace, not subject to a "list" *** dat.

Yeah, a skilled RDM/NIN can basically solo or duo 80% of the NMs in Abyssea, and the job seems to be the safest option for most NM tasks.
Even still, MNK/NIN tank strategies work well on a lot of things, and could in some cases allow success more easily than what a RDM/NIN kite strategy could provide (Lord Varney comes to mind). Though, a MNK and WHM duo is not ideal for these situations... I'd take a RDM instead, for higher refresh ticks, Phalanx II, and the obvious enfeebles.
