XIV Information thread, From someone not in the Be
Interesting, a bit curious on how 1000 needles worked. Did both of them take full damage, and if yes how did they survive, cause thats what I am seeing.
Also the stats is neat, like seeing your accuracy and attack on both hands, plus new gear slots is sweet. Do correct me if wrong, but I'm seeing 4 rings, wrists?, not sure what the one next to what I assume pants are and next to that would be a form of underwear? Belt in the middle and can't make out the right side, left I'm assuming is item holding? Over or undercoat next to the body?
Would love some details if possible at this stage >_>

Source of dats? Also "cape" is throwing weapon. Forget what left ??? is. Right ??? is satchel/extra inventory if I remember correctly.

Well as far as "dat mined" goodies go. We have:

This is according to a thread I just found which had a link to somewhere else. The link brought me to a maintenance page though.
This could be very possible considering that the Musketeer's guild was in one of the beginning missions.
I guess we'll see what happens...

Is samurai not considered an advanced job in FF14 then? Is that the full list of advanced jobs and everything else is standard?

Apparently all the jobs that have been found are standard jobs atm, as in accessible right away.
I'm pretty sure there are advanced jobs, due to lines about quests to unlock 'Alternative weapon mastery" has been found.

"cape" is an as yet unused throwing slot.
All gear is visible depending on what you're wearing. A rope belt with a cloth jacket will be visible, but wear the same belt with a more sturdy looking body piece and the belt will be on underneath it.

I haven't seen anything in beta forums about "advanced classes." I guess it's just a name for classes that require you to quest for them after a certain level.

From what Lion listed Shepard under, it sounds like a gathering class such as Botanist and Miner.
I'm not sure where I read it but I think SE said they might be giving other abilities other than "throw rock" for defence against enemies.

I really hope they do bring in a BST type job.
I really hope we'll still have a gambling type class like COR in 14, although it seems quite unlikely thus far. But they can always introduce new classes down the line.
Still hope they'll have something BST like too.
