HERE IT COMES!
I think the mage jobs are gonna have the most improvement from this update. /NIN and /DNC get big updates too. THOUGHTS?

While it's likely we'll get them, they could take them away and make them available as a Main Job only.

Aside from DRG and SMN pets and NIN Ni, has SE gimped any other sub ability/trait? I'd be inclined to think all available things would be well... available.

I'm I the only one NOT looking forward to the following scenario:
You do a Nyzul/BCNM/ISM/What have you with a shout group.
Battle Won.
Treasure Pool Fills.
"OMG WOW look we got <insert Awesome Item Name Here>"
Suddenly... you hear it go off.
and *POOF* you at your Homepoint.
That's when you realize, the RDM/BLM just Chainspelled/Warp 2'd the party... thus taking the drops.
Really not looking forward to the Level Increase in Douchbagery

I've heard that Yonin/Innin and the Afflatus abilities won't be useable as subbed jobs.
EDIT: You also missed Refresh under /RDM.
EDIT2: And Chi Blast under /MNK.

CA's no big deal since you have to close with a spell, which will make for a pretty weak skillchain compared to what BLU mains and other self-SCers can pull off. Shadowbind and QD are up in the air though.

While it's likely we'll get them, they could take them away and make them available as a Main Job only. Yonin/Innins is the equivalent to convert and refresh to rdm. And thats the same as warp 2.
SE said they would make job ability adjustments for subs. Which will likely gimp the ja's somewhat like how NI is 4 shadows will main but only 3 while subbed.

I don't know this for sure but I think /BST loses the ability to Leave pets as well (lvl 35 ability on BST).

Meaning to 80. BLM gets Stun at 45.
and trust me...i'm excited that I won't have to RDM/DRK as well

Shadowbind will be added-- specifically they used it as an example in stating the ability itself going to subs won't take away from the main jobs functionality. Quick Draw I'm sure will be added, but nerfed by half or more.

Also, has anyone heard anything on whats going to happen to merits? I am wondering if they are going to keep merit mode switchable at 75+ or are they going to make it capped out at 80, 85, etc~. Just a small concern I have been wondering about. I don't think they would change the level you had to be to obtain merits just because of level increase but you know how SE can be...

They announced on twitter that they will keep current merit system (@75), and add a new one when we reach the level99 cap. So you can switch to merits as long as you talk to the NPC when you get lvl75.

btw, if you still have doubt getting refresh as /rdm on the next updates (from vanafest website)

I'm more worried about what they'll give mains than what they'll give subjobs. Sort of hoping for Curing Waltz 3 at 49.
Wodner if WHM will get that spell that removes weakened status, or if SAM will get Gil Toss like they have in every iteration of the series.
