don't see any threads that involve lego and FFXI. so i figured id start one! i'm into lego's myself. some might find that odd being as old as i am. they don't realize how pure awesome legos just are. ^^
mainly this thread is a request to see some user submitted creations. i also plan to make some things here and there and post them, so if your into lego's yourself and wana blind the two worlds! post em here! i wana see them!

I hate how new LEGO kits are now all pre-built.
That was the fun as a child in LEGOs - building the stuff ourselfs (with directions for the super complicated ones, of course) and then destroying them.

OMG. YES. I still have an old set of Legos (seriously old; I think the box broke and it's in a dishwashing tub in under my bed or something....) and a set of K'nex (REMEMBER THOSE!?). Ahhhh.... I should make some stuff in my spare time. Too bad I play FFXI in my spare time. :x
just pulled out my set today. still trying to think of what i want to make.. colibri are the ever popular mob. i think ill start with one of those.

i did some playing around with my legos today, heres what iv made so far. ^^
and a little work with paint on thisone. without captions-ish it would be kinda hard to make out what it is,
i didn't have much for the "casting spell" graphics so i just used fire. if the flames was mutli colored it would work MUCH better. but i did with what i had. anyway. iv shown some of my work. i want to see what you guys can do!

Yes i would have to agree the lego's final fantasy thing is pretty cool more ppl should be doing it. I myself do not have any legos anymore aside from the duplo set my little one has :). would love to see some more posts of ppl making lego ff sets

I also hate how the newer sets seem to have everything prebuilt so that you just snap a few pieces together and voila, you have something. I loved the old sets where it seemed as if you were building things out of individual pixels instead of full scale graphics (if you get the analogy). I also miss my Technic sets.
I had a K'nex set once, as well as an Erector set. Nowadays, an Erector set could be seen as some sort of sex toy unfortunately...
***, K'nex were so over my head as a kid. lol I saw the box and they'd be of things like cars and moving objects and as amazed as I was, I was just a little too HELP I AM TRAPPED IN 2006 PLEASE SEND A TIME MACHINE to make any of it work.

Erector set FTW! Anything that had steel girders, motors, hoists, and working parts was awesome. Too bad they were really expensive and I didn't have barely any of them.
Had a crapload of Legos, though, and I wish I still had them all to give to my step-son (so I could play with them!)

Thats awsome. by the way I think this is the first time i have been on a forum page here and not seen somebody be a complete *** and say something stupid about anything lol. Think its time to break out my kids legos and see if i can come up with anything lol.
