During actual combat most likely the JSE necklace would be a better option.

There's better means of Refresh available for a PLD. Prior to any Rare/Ex drops, a simple 10k Coatl Gorget (or the very slightly more expensive Coatl Gorget +1 with additional Regen) would be better, imo.

Idling in Enmity+ also works, you lose less enmity while taking damage wearing Enmity+ gear.
So either moonlight/beam necklace for the Enmity and Meva or the JSE+1/2 for def/enm/-dt value.
Or the juicy +200hp from Unmoving Collar which also has Enmity+. It's all situational.
And very seldom do I feel that I lose Enmity from damage taken,
With shield block & phalanx mostly 0-50 usually.
