You forgot redistribution of wealth.

Whenever you defeat high tier content, half of the loot pool is instead transferred to a random player on the server. The probability of any one player being chosen is inversely related to their total play time. This will enable new players to receive high tier loot easier and not have to work as hard to catch up to those evil high tier capitalist pigs.

i only meet a few ppl who actually roleplayed ingame. the purpose of a MMO like FFXI is grinding and the eventual achievment/reward.

at first sight handing out a single free REMA doesn't sound too bad but it would put even more emphasis on multibox if you take away the biggest investment for a new char.

on the other hand with the amount of bots, cheats and exploit abuse going on and SE turning blind eyes left and right they basically hand everything for free to those who aren't afraid that they maybe in the far future eventually get punished.

i don't understand, excuse for what? you mean everyone that plays frequently should have finished all achievments by now?

i can't follow you. i wouldn't be surprised if stuff like omen regal drops or bodies are so rare and time gated that even if everyone grinded them every chance they got there still wouldn't be enough drops around to hand everyone the drops they are after.

oh i personly don't chase omen bodies. the last couple of years i mostly played during free campaign and that usually was enough to refresh my memory why i initially took a break.

the recent HTMB additions lately are tempting tho.

it sure is a grind but the rewards are decent and maybe open up some more solo content which could be quite enjoyable.

imho the HTMBs with good rewards are better game design than for example omen or dyna d even tho its pretty grindy. i could but don't have to rely on others, i can go whenever i have the free time and i don't have to schedule anything. a failed attempt doesn't hurt as much as a 3 day lockout.

you just need to be aware when you start to attempt brute force. at that point its better to shift your focus on something else.
