Controller Not Being Recognized

I want to start out by saying I have read many of the post that talk about this issue. I believe the issue actually has a lot to do with the controller I am using, but would like someone who has a bit more knowledge on it to tell me if I am correct.

When I plug the controller in, and the drivers install, the controller shows up as an xbox360 controller https://imgur.com/wbp1Kb7

I am on a Windows 10 PC. The controller works. I use it for Steam games, Witcher 3 on GOG, Division 2 on Uplay, etc. It's not that the controller is trash, it works as well as any Logitech controller I have owned.

I have tried installing the Xbox360 64bit Windows 7 drivers. The controller still will not work when I go into the FFXI PadConfig.

Any help will be appreciated.

Is the problem that FFXIAH.com does not recognize the controller or FFXI?

crazy suggestion, play like a human, with a keyboard.

or if you happen to have a old ps3 or ps4 controller lying around try scp toolkit.

May have to manually map the buttons in the registry

Are you using the correct tool file? ToolUS
