Btw, while this is also a joke, i know that the SMN updates are going to be huge when they announce them in the next couple of days.

The point was to get everyone hyped because i'm sure at least two avatars are incoming lol.

I still remember the day in Anaheim at the fanfest 07 where they talked about avatarSSSs with an S on the end. If they are doing an update on SMN it has to be time finally.

Though honestly I knew somethin' was up before clicking, since SE doesn't make update notices on the weekend (At least not in the 6 Years I've played), still, this proves that optimism will only get you screwed out in the end.

I don't see how anyone fell for this. if you said 1 or 2 fine but 6, everyone in this thread should have known better.

Everything is nearly perfect except for slight font spacing which is barely noticeable. The only give away was being posted on a Sunday a day before the actual date.

So many people are anticipating new avatars i knew it would be an easy target.

Honestly i am amazed as you are, but i know that SMN's are on the edge of the seat right now anyhow.

Targeting an audience is easy in a situation like that.

I stopped beleiving it when I relaized it was Sunday night (about 4am JP time).

If he had posted this in about 5-10 hours (early to mid morning JP time) I might have been a little more willing to accept it... but still 6 avatars?

I wouldn't be surprised if this update sees new avatars; if we don't this time, the next one should for sure!
SE had said in an interview I read around time of Fanfest last year that SMN was getting 2 new, roughly at around holiday time this year, that they would be very large, and that they would play differently from the current ones, implying that they won't have as many Blood Pacts.

My guesses are Atomos and Cait Sith, and for anyone that has been progressing thru the Wings of the Goddess Missions would know that it is a high possibility. We got Diabolos after the low-level fight in CoP, after many nay-sayers said I was a fool to think he would be an avatar for SMN. WotG storyline has already had a BCNM pitting us against BOTH of these avatars. Cait Sith isn't very large though you might say, but my thoughts are that the many Cait Sith would combine into one large cat!

I am kind of thinking that the new ones will be intended to be left out, instead of the common Summon, Blood Pact, Release method everyone uses now.

I stopped my SMN at 50 a long time ago in hopes of the long-awaited avatars, here's hoping!

Lol really I knew it was fake the second I saw the words new avatars... and then the number of them. That was like omg this wasn't even meant to be taken seriously. I still like the one ffxicyclopedia did for april fools lol. Said got like 3 new avatars and some other pretty crazy ***. OMG people got so mad.
