when I open up windower4, it takes about 5-10mins + for it to open up profile selection screen....

I'll click the windower icon, the windower box opens with the 5 dots that scroll... for 5 minutes or longer.. then it'll open to profile selection screen and have no problems from there on. Any ideas?

Can try turning off internet to skip the waiting then turn it on after it has started. Most likely it is searching for updates.
I've had your problem for quite a while now, sometimes it wont do it in weeks and sometimes it will do it for 2 weeks. It only happens on my laptop and never on my desktop. I've never looked into what causes it though, its a small nuissance to me.
I get this issue only after I installed the hd image pack so I assumed was caused by that
Mine was doing that for a while. Like 3 weeks straight. Ran CClean, and a few other things and it went away for a few weeks. But now it has started up again.
This only happens if I have closed windower without restarting PC and trying to open another instance.

Why not? and why at once?
Well I usually launch the 3 POL's a few minutes apart (I wait until fully logged on with 1 before I move to the next)
You can open all 3 windowers at same time. Once all of them are ready to go, you proceed to log on POL. No need to wait one log before starting a new windower.
It usually causes an issue with xiloader (private servers) if I open x3 at once.
I never used xiloader so cant help much.

If I recall correctly the last person to have the issue stated above (before Windower profile selection), they had to reinstall Windows itself.
That being said I've heard of others with the issue, but can't recall the specific resolutions, sorry.

I reinstalled windows about a month ago. This happened shortly before the reinstall too. The reinstall fixed it. I don't want to reinstall windows every time windower4 takes forever to launch..

Happens to me every so often. Usually I just kill the window after 30 seconds and then it loads fine the next time.
