So today I logged in and found out my timers' settings.xml got reset to default. Happened already in the past, I guess this happens when big changes happen in the config file.
But regardless to that, I manually changed the settings to my personal ones (graphical mode off, text colouring on etc) and now I'm having an issue compared to the past.

The Recast coloring is fine, it goes in order from the three colours I inputted High > Mid > Low.
But Buffs window does the opposite, it goes Low > Mid > High.

Is it a problem with how I set my settings.xml or an issue with Timers itself?
I remember many years ago Timers had an issue like this for a short time.

It seems like FFXI keeps resetting to default settings on multiple platforms atm. Last week I lost my FFXI Pol info after being randomly deleted. I know someone who randomly lost all his Lua the other day. Seems like the game is breaking apart lol.

Hi-jacking you thread since we're talking about timers,
mine is doing this for brd.

Showing same set of songs just shorter duration. Is this a thing or something I can disable?
It's not doing it for any other spell/ability that Ive found.

ffxi has next to nothing to do with windower settings disappearing, this would be a windower issue

I haven't seen the new timers plugin as I don't actually log out very often, but timers can, by default, have 3 columns.
Buff timer, recast timer, custom.
Are both of those columns counting down? Or is one of them counting up? And did you only do 1 set of songs? Or did you overwrite a previous set?

They are all counting down, I overwrote some songs.
If I only sang 1 song I would've had 2 bars next to each other.
So a custom song settings then?

Most likely. Try singing a couple songs and casting something like stoneskin or haste and see if you have 3 bars, if so it's custom song settings creating the second timer set.

The custom timer set is there so you can fine tune everything with your actual timers, not the default stuff in resources.

Yeah Custom timers then, anyway to disable it? I've moved them outside the screen atm which I can work with.

Update, same issue happens for the custom window as well, not just the buffs one.

Recast is fine.
