4k Monitor

There is a video on youtube of someone running ffxi at UHD resolution, but it doesn't say how, and comments are disabled.

Windower picks my native resolution for me, correctly: 3840x2160 but if I launch the game I only see the upper left corner of the game.

I don't know what "UI scale" means (it scales something in some way). Setting it to 3 the windower console text is larger vs setting it to 1.

Is there anything else configurable or is 4k resolution possible?

2560x1440 works but not 3840x2160 unless I use a bordered window, so far.

You'll need to figure out which POL.exe version is being utilized and adjust the DPI settings in the properties tab in the POL.exe file.

Ok. So, I'm not sure which combination of things worked. I used advice from here:

But, setting disable fullscreen optimizations on windower.exe and polboot.exe in 2 places allowed 4k resolution, without windower, by settings registry settings:

I couldn't follow the suggestion to set disable DPI virtualization because I have no such option in properties in windows. But, I set "run as administrator on windower.ex and polboot.exe and now it works with windower.

Another optimization was to set 60 fps which can be done by using the "Config" plugin and setting FrameRateDivisor to 1 in config.xml.

The result is gorgeous high resolution and smooth playback.
