Anyone Feel Like This ALWAYS Happens?

Story rant time,

So I woke up this morning after a nice night of being able to sleep in. I took a shower before I went to sleep that night because I had a nice work out. I was feeling great. I log in, with the intention of doing Guild points quickly. WRONG!

As everyone knows, nothing ever works out in the game right. I go to ah.com, see my guild point item is an Acid Knife. Ok I can do this, I'm only a veteran after all. Check the materials, mythril knife, oh well NO ONE ever makes those and the NPC price is almost 3x the cost to make it.

I run my *** over to the AH then, buy my mythril ingots, then look at this "chestnut lumber". Well I don't need a forsaken stack of the ***, and the singles sell slowly, if ever, so I can't resell the singles...would clog my AH. I see that its sold in Al Zahbi guild merchant. Great, I'm already in wg! Just a hop, skip, and an imperial silver piece and I'm done for today. WRONG!

I get to the guild merchant, "Oh no! Where could my XXX be!" -_-; Damn cat won't sell anything to me. All right, fine, I won't let this get to me. I have ronfaure OP warp, so I head to bastok, then warp. Mazurka my *** up to sandy while looking stylish In BRD gear. 5+ minutes later, I arrive at the WW guild. Ok I buy my lumber (hear the voice in the back of my head to buy an extra!) but I don't, of course, then run to bastok again to craft.

I get support for artisan's advantage. 1st synth, great, mythril knife. 2nd synth, great mythril knife. Then I tell myself, If I hit enter too soon and it has that red text "unable to preform that action" or some ***, I'm going to break and lose my mats. Lo' and behold, I hit enter a second too soon....1st synth, acid knife BREAK YOU LOSE YOUR MYTHRIL KNIFE HAHAHA! -_-;

Now I need to run all the way back to sandy for more chestnut lumber! 5+ mins of mazurka'ing, I get to the WW guild. I say in the ls about my frustration, even saying I bet firesdays is the forsaken WW guild holiday. Not even to mention that its 0:00 about ish. I already HAVE to do a 15 min wait even if its not the holiday. I get to the WW guild, uh oh! The shop is closed! Firesday is the guild's weekly holiday!

My 10 minute adventure, turned into 30+, and now a 45min wait for the guild to open, plus the time till 8:00 vana day and a lot of frustration.

I seem pretty lucky with all this so far, i handed in three acid knives earlier ^^ although i did have to buy a stack of chesnut lumber for 20k! It can be fidly with all the different items u need to craft things to then craft other things to then craft.. u get the picture.

Been there before, yes it sucks.

time is money. I would of bought the stack off AH and sent it to my mule to hold until i needed it again. I do this because of that exact reason you gave. Live and learn eh.

My wife has an odd "every time" in that when ever she goes to airship someplace, it _JUST_ left the docks.

LOL! Long story short ever since that kind of stuff has happened so many times in the past, whenever I'm in the mood to craft, first thing I do is type in /clock and make sure its not watersday or close to it for smithing, lol!

And ever since I started working on subcrafts, well WW atm then to clothcraft, I actually have to remember the order of the days FEW WILL Die (fire, earth, water, wind, ice, lightning, light)knowing wind is the second w, because i follows, and darksday before firesday. LOL so yeah, I had to learn that acronym cause of crafting.

lol just last week I checked ffxiah.com for the guild point item, and saw that it was a big day (like 7k GP or so). So of course, I go out and make the required items (two Ashuras) and make my way to the guild to turn them in. What I didnt think about, though, was how close to jp midnight it was... so when I got there the guild had already changed items, and my Ashuras were useless.

Goodbye ~100k. Now they're sitting on a mule for whenever that day comes around again... and that's assuming I dont miss the day lol.

DO THOSE GUILD SHOP PEOPLE HAVE NOTHING BETTER TO DO?!
They just STAND there -- WITH THE LIGHTS ON, no less, and tell you they're closed. They never move! There's no *** reason for the shop to close if they're right there, goddammit!

Yeah I always spend my holidays standing behind the counter at work telling people, "Sorry we're closed today is our holiday." LOL!

Actually now that you mention it, that'd actually be quite fun standing there at work refusing to serve people because you're "on your day off".

heh, I skip that day's GP item, especially when it only nets me 2k GP.

As far as a "fast GP item" unless you have foresight and can guess what is gonna be next for the item, good luck on making it fast, especially if its alchemy.

At least it wasn't status potions! :P

I skip all veteran alchemy synths because they are all stat pots or an ice shield. I'm not throwing away 70k for 7k GP either when I have stuff in my mh that I can make 7k with on the lower level synths.

how about when you have to turn in 3-4 or 5 of an item that requires a RARE drop from an NM that spawns twice a day...

One annoying thing that's happening to me right now that has happened to me in the past, is R0ing in the middle of a synth, and not being able to move or do ANY sort of action other than chat after coming back from an R0. I usually have to manually log out and log back in. :/
