The math is simple: the drops rate of pouches is 6.3% by ffxidb (good amount of samples) and each pouch is on average 9HMP so 100 Aello will give you around 57 plates. 1400HMP means 2.5k pops. Even supposing you can do one every 30 secs without any breaks you are talking about 21h non-stop and tons of voidstone piled up. I'm assuming (hoping for your health <.<) that you were at least dual-boxing them

I only have a main + 2 alts. Saturday and Sunday, I probably totaled about 750ish fights. By the end of Sunday, I had collected 992 hmp. Saturday alone I got 69 pouches. Compared to the previous VW campaign, I am getting a ton more drops this time.
Im not saying the % drop rate has changed, but it sure feels like it is higher.

Going for pouches is fine if you fit the following criteria:
- You either want HMP for your own weapon or you don't want to wait 2-3 weeks to sell your Relic +2 items for the 1.5-2 million they inevitably climb to when supply dries up - You're bringing mules so you have at least 3, possibly more characters for more pulls at the blind bag - You don't feel like you can kill Morta/Bismarck fast enough to make their more diverse, higher profit loot pools worth it (or both those fights are permacamped on your server) Even with some crazy setup where you're bringing 6 characters and you end up averaging 11 HMP a pouch that's still somewhere around 350 fights to get 1400 plates if you assume the standard 6% drop rate luck. Going off the FFXIDB averages, you can assume a haul close to these numbers if you used those 2100 stones at other pops: Kaggen/Pil/Akvan: ~730 HMP ~105 Relic +2 upgrades Bismarck: ~270 HMP ~178 Sealord Skin ~94 Riftdross ~31 Riftcinder ~25 Angel Skin Morta: ~270 HMP ~178 Belladonna Sap ~82 Riftcinder ~35 Riftdross ~25 Angel Skin

Started with 1187 stones, have 424 left. Started first day with 2 accounts then activated 2 more. Saturday around noon. If I had to guess i'd say total Stones expended is around 2300. I have gotten a total of 97 day 1, 42 day 2 and 34 day 3 (the 34 was the best run, that was in only around 3 hours). 1400 plates from 173 pouches means I only averaged 8 per pouch. 173 pouches in this number of fights also means I'm around 8%. I do feel I'm getting more pouches this time around than last time, but have no data to back that statement.
In short - I've done Morta in the past but honestly always felt the yield was worse. I've come to love Aello. Plus the price / speed of plate sales on Odin does mean I've already sold all my plates. If plates start to drop I'll just sit on the pouches for a few months. I may try some Bismark this week - purely for the reason I want some sealord skins and I'm too much of a cheap *** to buy them so this is the only way I'll get them lol... but that time to get there ;; what makes Aello so nice is the speed to get there an back when you need to dump mats. On a side not, I made a mule for all crafting mats. Have treasury set to only keep items that sell well, rest is tossed. Last night I counted 19 stacks of gold ingot, 14 stacks of Darksteel ingots, 7 stacks of raxa, 5 stacks of rainbow cloth, 11 stacks of coral, 13 stacks of steel ingot, 22 stacks of wyvern scales and a lot more other crap. I'll be patient with these mats and that's already another 25m + gil there too :) The bad side - I used an old settings.xml for treasury which i didn't look at too closely. We went to do Zerde last night. I Was out of Flan meats...

Bismarck: ~270 HMP - 32,400,000 ~178 Sealord Skin - 142,400,000 ~94 Riftdross - 70,500,000 ~31 Riftcinder - 40,300,000 ~25 Angel Skin - 10,000,000 Total: 295,600,000 - 113m more profit based on these numbers. Not sure how fast they would sell but I'm not in need of Gil atm so this is interesting. Morta: ~270 HMP - 32,400,000 ~178 Belladonna Sap - 35,600,000 ~82 Riftcinder - 61,500,000 ~35 Riftdross - 45,500,000 ~25 Angel Skin - 10,000,000 Total: 185,000,000 - about the same as Aello. Added some prices to the above and based on these numbers Bismark is the clear winner but the only one that makes more sense than Aello imo. I'll try some Bismark this week and post my results. That is the way most are amassing that number of HMP. It's not possible to sit at a computer for 15+ hours spamming 30s fights. The math version of just bringing more characters is more sensible, though you're essentially paying for more grabs at the bag.
From 72 Bismarks x 4 I got the following:
9 Riftdross 3 Riftcinder 27 HMP 7 Sealord skins 4 Angel Skins Gil Total if sold at current prices = 20,454,000g If I equate that back into the 2100 pops from above that means a total net of 149,143,750. Aello beat it out considerably and much faster pops. I'll do another Bismark run tomorrow and get more samples. i did something like 1800 plates in 7 hrs when i was 6boxing but that's impractical for most people i inherited a few accounts at the right time
I've done 15-20 SKC BCNMs at this point and haven't seen a card yet.
Which BCNM were you guys doing when you saw cards? Can we confirm the difficulty level we are seeing cards on? Have done several Diff solo, not one card. I'm wondering if the level of battlefield matters.
I know that difficulty affects the drop rate, but I don't know whether it also affects which items can drop.

His helpers very rarely drop something on VE (<5%) but were a ~20% drop rate for me on VD, perhaps. TH3 on everything. I got a Beitetsu Box off VD, and I haven't seen any RME item boxes on VE, but that doesn't necessarily mean too much. I did get NQ stones on VD, so higher difficulty isn't any guarantee of quality. Wondering if partying up increases Job Card drop % Can any of the people who have received a card confirm they got one solo, or were they in a group? Got one brd card solo (blu) in 15 runs from VD Helltail Harry. 0 in 10 VD worms tail. Mostly woe currency and chapters 1-5, along with some trash stones.

So far soloed 25 Tails of Woe II on D,still no card..
I did about 100 runs of The Worm's Tail VE without seeing a card or RME item case/boxes. D and VD drop cases/boxes.
So apart from drop rate scaling with difficulty, I think the loot pool also changes. Just got a Paragon Puppetmaster card off the first doll in D Factory Rejects. You said you were getting an 8% drop rate on pouches too though, either due to altered drop rate or luck, but your Bismarck percentages are as follows, as well as deviation from average: 9 Riftdross (3.12%, -1.38%) 3 Riftcinder (1.04%, -0.46%) 27 HMP (9.38%, -3.52%) 7 Sealord skins (2.43%, -6.07%) 4 Angel Skins (1.39%, par) You were below the expected results on everything, except angel skins, which I believe wont load in the shared top spot (unless that has since been debunked). You had below average numbers on Bismarck and above average numbers on Aello. |
