Skirmish +1, + 2

I'm just starting to come back to FFXI after 3-4 months off, but a lot as changed. I am mostly caught up beside the Skirmish Armor and Weapons +1, +2. It seems that there is no topic on Ah and BGwiki isn't updated, but it could be that i just haven't found it too. So can you guys/girls post here how to upgrade the armor and weapons +1 , +2 or post the link here of a post or wiki.

You get a KI from skirmish v3 like skirmish v2 to upgrade the weapons from +1 to +2 and armour from NQ to +1. You can also buy it with wings that drop in skirmish v3.

Which areas is v3 ? and you have to get +1 1st then +2 ?

Skirmish 3 is in Outer Ra'Kaznar. To upgrade +1 weapons to +2 or NQ armor to +1, you need a KI, which is a random drop off the chest in skirmish 3, or you can exchange for the KI with butterflies from skirm3.

Skirmish tier 1 is Rala Waterways and Ciridas Underground. These areas drop NQ weapons and the NQ, +1 and +2 stones to upgrade NQ weapons, as well as misc spells and drops.

Skirmish tier 2 is Yorcia Wield. This area drops NQ skirmish armor, wings to trade to an NPC to purchase the skirmish armor, a chance to obtain the KI to upgrade the NQ weapons to +1, and the NQ, +1 and +2 stones to augment the NQ skirmish gear and the +1 weapons. Also drops random spells and synth mats.

Skirmish tier 3 is Outer Ra'Kaznar. This area has a chance of giving you the KI to upgrade your NQ armor to +1, you +1 Weapons to +2, wings to allow you to purchase the same KI, and the NQ, +1, and +2 stones to augment your +1 armor and +2 weapons.

You need the base weapon to upgrade to +1 and the +1 to upgrade to +2. You cannot skip a step.

Anyone know if you lose your Augs on your +1 weapons when you +2 them, and the gear if you +1 it?

Lose everything.

keep in mind its a good idea to save some augmented pieces you may have, and just get a new weapon/armor to upgrade outright. examples: perpetuation hagondes, fast cast lebrallg +1. this way you'll be able to augment the hagondes +1 you get with something else like MAB or MACC, while still maintaining the macro usefullness of the older models' augments
