The Tea Party juggernaut to be feared by the left should be Ted Cruz. People get distracted by the noisemakers like Bachmann as the Tea Party quietly gets Senators elected. The three front runners at the moment, all people the Tea Party got elected, Cruz, Paul and Rubio. All of whom would look very young, exciting and appealing next to a 70 year old white woman whose been in the government for the last 30 years or so.

Yeah he should have taken a pass on a Palestine question out of left field or just answered any question he wanted to like a skilled "politician" would have. I was talking about Libya for the record.
Foreign Policy proved to be a disaster for all of the republican candidates, but yeah Cain really flubbed the Libya interview. It was pretty amusing to watch his non-existent political career come to an end in 5 short minutes.
It is sad. He's a great man.
Why is it funny to you? He is a man you should admire that has accomplished many things including cheating death. Why would you relish in the demise of this man that you should strive to be like, who wanted to make a difference with the second chance he got on life?
its funny because he couldn't even put a sentence together. Now he can go back to delivering pizzas, or die off for all I care.

What does he having beat cancer have to do with anything? Clinton beat heart issues, McCain beat cancer, Rick Santorum has a sick child, Sarah Palin has a kid with autism and Barry O had daddy issues. Save that stuff for the memoirs or somethin. Herman Cain ran a (pizza) business, flubbed interviews on important topics relating to being the president, adopted a holier than thou stance and got embarrassed in public as he was dragged off the stage due to women on the side. I still honestly don't believe he was seriously running for president and he only got attention and a brief stint as frontrunner because the other candidates were so unpalatable to the American public. The fact that a guy running solely to sell some of his books became taken seriously as a presidential candidate speaks volumes. It is not the duty of the police to protect citizens or their property. They're their to clean up after, take down facts and apprehend criminals. Twist that all you like but that's fact.
So again: if you want to protect your life, liberty or property then it's up to you. You aren't one to talk about being mentally stable, or holding a job Mr. alcoholic. or is that some self-hatred spewing out there? None of the applications of that wording really speak of natural disasters. So there you go twisting facts again. I have multiple accounts, and your ignorant statement needed addressing. That interview didn't end Cain political chances. The by and large of the conservative voting block doesn't know a *** thing about Libya besides what the pundits tell them to think about it when it's relevant. That was a geographical and foreign policy interview, 2 things they could care less about, so it was no surprise he didn't lose any steam after it. Infact, flagrant disregard about general knowledge of other countries probably picked him up a few volunteers. So no, what buried Cain's campaign was the allegations of him using his position as CEO of pizza shop to bribe women for sex, specifically white ones.
Remember, a republican can slap his voters across the face with a ***, steal their money, funnel millions into personal accounts while de-funding programs they're probably enrolled in (that took decades to set up) and be told thank you for his malice. If he cheats on his wife though, his career is over. Atleast, til the next election cycle. maxdecphoenix said: » That interview didn't end Cain political chances. You can shoot someone in the face (literally) and noone would care but OH GOD if you have a mistress or you had a one night stand with a *** who does your taxes it is OVER. Least he answers questions about Lybia oho!

Unless the Department of Justice approves this change, the Military does not have the authority to effect U.S. Penal Code and can only enforce local/state law if requested by the Governor & approved by the Federal Govt. (martial law, natural disasters, etc) The only exception is the Coast Guard who is under the Department of Transportation until wartime, where they fall under the Department of Defense. This article, and the information within, refers solely to wartime situations (nuclear attacks, large scale, Syria-style civil war, etc) From the article: Quote: Federal military commanders have the authority, in extraordinary emergency circumstances where prior authorization by the President is impossible and duly constituted local authorities are unable to control the situation, to engage temporarily in activities that are necessary to quell large-scale, unexpected civil disturbances. Also: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Posse_Comitatus_Act Yay, now two random dudes on the internet can argue about where MREs are stored. This is *** useful! "Common myth about military logistics." Is that the one where you can't swim until an hour after eating, or the one where fluoride in the drinking water is a conspiracy?
Yes, Air Force bases have warehouses. Yes, MREs are stored in warehouses. Yes, MREs are actually palletized. Jesus. That still does not actually equate to readiness. I'm only trying to say is that it's no where near as simple as people are playing it up to be. Ok, sure. I am willing to agree that some places are organized differently and would efficiently handle this sort of mission. But even after "the military reworked their whole logistics process*," that's not the case everywhere. Really, though, after thinking about it, food isn't really a super immediate need. If someone said "get some food to wherever by tommorrow afternoon," that's totally doable. Unless they're already busy and provided there is a sufficient runway nearby, assuming that it's still safe for use in an extraordinarily catastrophic situation. Look, I'm for better integration of the military and civilian worlds. If nothing else, it could help a few people not be terrified of people with guns, right? I've spent my whole adult life surrounded by people that think every single day is like a scene from Full Metal Jacket, despite my best efforts. "I was late today." Oh my god what did they DO TO YOU!!?!?" "I was late for work... settle down." I just think this "rewording" (love how people are avoiding the word "change" as if it's not awkwardly obvious) is poorly done, not all that useful, and when it is useful, is not the magic wand that people want. * Phoenix.Amandarius said: » Blazed1979 said: » Asura.Psubond said: » Blazed1979 said: » Asura.Psubond said: » world is going to hell in a hand basket. i swear people in power don't read history books. tons of civilians die, then eventually those in power die. If I were you I'd be more concerned about the fact that they are indeed well versed in history. Don't be naive. either way it ends badly for civilians. if they are well versed in history it ends in the way that the world is in 1984 We're pretty much there. Big Brother just hasn't been branded/identified yet. All this talk about MREs makes me hungry.
