Windower 4

Anyone else experiencing issues where you freeze and have to force stop FFXI? Or that when the screen says 'Connecting to server' after you hit 'play' it freezes and won't load anything and just sits there?

I have been getting freezes like no other lately. And I have never had this problem with Windower 3.4, or the regular non-Windower version.

Yes, Windower is fantastic. But, it is not worth it if I keep getting crashes.
Any news on if this is getting fixed?

I have been getting these as well. Happens about 10% of the time I log in. I usually just force shutdown and reboot and it goes away. Hoping its fixed by the time they remove the Beta label. By the way.../hello :P

Wait for all of the plugins/etc to load before hitting "Accept".

Is there a way to mute, or turn down, the music at the character selection screen? I remember there being an option on the 3.4 version. Not sure if we have to add something in the init script or something else.

Only thing I know of is replacing the sound file with something else, like silence.
