Binder Plugin

So just purchased a fancy keyboard to help w/ some one-off macros i want to make for ffxi. i download the binder plugin, and after loading it, i've found that i can simply type the command for what i want the shortcut for the keys to be, and it works. this known, that means, i could do the same thing in the init.txt file and preprogram whatever i want. but im wondering if im missing something. is there a special file i can make that allows me, preferably w/o having to reload windower to make it read changes, edit them. like an external .txt file that binder would read off of. or do i just have to do it the way i've been doing it.
