Just got a new laptop after drowning my macbook in the bath, have reinstalled pol/ffxi and when i goto do the ffxi update i get POL error 0205. Just keeps losing connection and I've reset router done a complete reinstall and checked ports are open. Anyone have any idea how to fix this? Any help would be much appreciated.

Unknown error during update (rare)

0250
Router problem. See if you can update your software/firmware for your router, this may help.. Can also be caused by a server issue. If on a network where are multiple PC's using the same nvidia NIC, this can also happen.

its 0250 my mistake, the router is in next door neighbours house can i still update it from my laptop? i have the login for it also whats an NIC?

nic is short for network card... whether it's wireless or wired.

what fixed it for me was opening up the Playonline viewer, and BEFORE logging in, click "network settings" and it says something about Check connection, "enabled" it and voila u are good to play!!!
